Confession : I did it for 19 days continuously and honestly. Today I feel as follows 1. I become very Stable mentally, emotionally. 2. I mostly stay calm earlier I used to think a single problem whole day. 3. I was fearful and worried and anxious.. I can talk to anyone with calm and compose manner one the greatest gift I got.. 5. If I breath fully within 2-3 inhale and exhale I can feel entire thing settling down.,all worries go away earlier it was not like that. 6. Many minor and major transformation I'm going through.. Edit : It made me very stable. I can talk like champ. Myself suffered with social anxiety for years from moderate to higher level. All gone. Sit with complete attention between your eyes/ forehead. Use earphone it gives the best experience. Remove glasses of you have. Do it with pure mind think of it as these 12 minutes are 100% yours. Do not open Your eyes till the end. Feel the energy within. More you do it with full attention higher level of benefits you'll get. I'll keep editing as 48 days or more passss.

Sadhguru says that if you do this practice at night , it will make your spiritual progress super fast, so fast that you may not be ready for transformation it brings. Example, you could just in 3 months feel like renouncing the world. While it may be great but even if good things are given tooo soon , they can cause harm to the seeker. So the advise is to go slow and steady.

After just four days of doing this, twice day, I already feel so much better! I have mild depression and it seems to be helping. I see myself in a more positive light and see a brighter future for me. The human mind a beautiful thing and has accomplished much in advancing human civilization to levels unheard of, but it is also a poison that can hold us back and even destroy us. I like to think of it as the person that you call only when you need something, but ignore the rest of the time because he/she doesn't add anything valuable to your life....:)

I honestly never use to believe in the magic of meditation as Whenever i try to meditate I go to sleep and after many trails I am fed up . I tried this today after seeing Samanthas post and this is something else .I went to the thoughtless state in my first try and the experience is beyond awesome ,could not explain it . I've been doing this for 7 mins each day for 1.5 months. I'm at the stage were I find myself automatically chanting this now when I hear a thought arise. I'm at the stage were a full thought is just a waste of mental energy. I don't let a thought unravel itself now. Instead I just cut it in the beginning and find myself chanting, I am not the mind. Its helped tremendously. The places where I use to feel anxious I no long feel that way thanks to the chant

I had chest pain for long time and sometimes panic attacks, of course, I was afraid that pain will got worse and worse and that I have something wrong with my heart. I am young in my 20s but still a lot of problems with anxiety. I have done this video for just few days and I already see improvement. Pain is fading it really is. I'm so happy about this. It is really true that 90% of problems are just in our heads. Maybe it sounds cliche but it is all about peace and being happy with who you are. And I'am glad that I understand it now. Love overcomes hate!

Good for you! I had a similar experience with anxiety. Sometimes I stop doing the Kriya (mostly because I find it difficult to be persistent in anything I do, and because I don't want to bother ppl around me with "Aaaah"), fall back in cannabis-abuse and stress/anxiety and then, like today, get back on the horse. Every time I get back to practise, I feel better and Im amazed by the calm and tranquility I experience during and afterwards. Remembering "I am not the body, I am not even the mind" during hard times, helps a great deal as it makes it easier for me to distance myself from my surroundings, ppl and thoughts. I bought Inner Engineering after seeing a couple of videos. It's been close to a week now and although I've done meditation in the past, Sadhguru has inspired me to look inward and seek my true self. I'm waking up earlier the last couple of days feeling at ease and looking forward to the meditation. At the same time, I began doing Yoga to compliment the whole system. Can't wait to see the difference after a mandala. Oops, I shouldn't say can't wait....rather I'll enjoy the present and live life simply. Thanks Sadhguru.

Its hard to do something outside of our culture. Maybe do it in isolation to stop the distractions. (Iknow isolation is hard to come by sometimes) its nuch easier to focus though

I'm going to give this ago tonight sandhguru,I need peace in my mind as I've had so much conflict and stress trying to help my son the past 3years now and all he did was put me down,robbed me money,done things the opposite to what I was trying to teach him like manner's,how to cook etc,but he'd say don't be telling me what to do, trying to install in him good principal s as he has no understanding of respect for me or anybody, only his nanny that threw him out 3year ago.his mam refused to take him into her 4bed house so after not being allowed see him for 7 years it was like they had enough of him and sent him into me,to mess me up ,I fell out with my family over his behavior and they threw the 2of us out ,I tried to get him help.but be refused to go and take it serious,smokes weed nonstop but gets terrible angry when he don't have it ,I believe I tried my best to help him to overcome any ill thoughts he had of me my family and friends, he has been going against the grain and doing nothing to help himself , his intentions was to make me breakdown,or try to make me go insane,he's put me under an immense amount of stress the past 3yrs , now that i got a new home that was to be a new start for us but in the 4months we've been here he has just caused me so much stress ,like a bully he was treating me, but I had to ask him to leave the house as ,he said in a text message s, cause his name wasn't on the tenancy agreement,he told his nanny that it was killing him because I had all the power over the house is the words he text his nana,that I'm a waister ,all sorts off bad things he was telling her,just lie after lie to me and his nanny to con money of her and me to buy weed, he needs to go get himself help as I'm no Doctor and to even try choke me last week and then say I can't wait to see you loose the house,that was the . moment I realized I had to ask him to leave,it's not what I wanted to do,bit I don't want to be homeless again over his behavior.i don't no why I'm even texting you this but I feel I have to for some reason,. It was like living with your enemy but he's gone now living with his girlfriend for now but I no he will be back starting trouble soon,to try make me loose the house, anyway, all I wanted was for us to better ourselves,but he was not interested in even getting a job,so thats it,I could tell you Lot more home truths but , no point,I am gonna start trying to learn this form off meditation for the first time in my life,🙏wish me good luck that it works pls my friend,thank you , fergo from Ireland.love your wisdom d knowledge you posess.gkuf a good man,wish there were more men like you in this world ,🙏💚💛❤️

I tried to do this and I did it, I felt better but at night when I went to sleep I was getting up, in the middle of the night gasping for air. I think I have cross the road because when I became a born-again Christian I was visited by the I am, the God Almighty. He said to me but He will never leave me, never forsake me or make me to beg. Such a mighty God coming down and giving me assurance ,I think I'm doing something wrong by going in my own way. I feel and I strongly believe that if I take the word of God that is in the Bible and meditate upon it, the beauty of the world can be seen,by loving all.

Well 1st time I've come across this. Lucky for me I've seen now a lot of Sadhguru's life video's so was not totally like what is this?!! And I've done a bit of Palouse Mindfulness and assoc yoga. Still, nothing like this. Would not have been open to it if any source other than Sadhguru. Many, many thanks to Sadhguru and producers of this video.Anyhow - the striking thing is it opened my mind the remembrance of feelings of wonder you can get now and then alone in the countryside or other nature. So that was great like a holiday feeling! Surprised me. I didn't even do the Ahhs properly in case of alarming family sleeping! Didn't Sadha go up a mountain. What came to my me was the image of me being like the chap in the video cartoon posture etc but superimposed and facing on a beach in front of the sea/ocean and looking at from behind the whole thing. Don't often think in terms of pictures - so nice. maybe even a connection to even prehistoric time peoples long since dead now in our time but better connected to the world then than we or me.Sorry so lengthy but want to remember this my 1st time. So indulge me.You guys are on to something here but you knew that.

this has been such beautiful experience..today was the first day...it was Lil difficult to not think of other things in the initial part but then don't know why and how suddenly after the second stage...tears just rolled down ..n when the shloks were being chanted it was as though I was crying...but the concentration had increased during this time... dint realize the time...it was very good feeling...just my first day though..hope to continue every day and try starting it earlier part of the day

Thanks for the upload. I have a hard time getting into a meditative and relaxed state. I really like this, and I have been putting into my mind of saying "I'm not the body, and I am not even the mind," when life becomes too much. I become relaxed and also start changing my perspective. I still need a lot of practice because there are times I completely forget and just react. I read that the moment we can live with open eyes saying the space we have from our body and mind is the moment we are truly free. It will be a long while then, but I like the journey too it 😃.

I have been listening and watching Sadhguru vidoes since past 2months now. Today is the first time I did Isha Kriya. I couldn’t practice properly. Specially inhaling and exhaling. All the cycles were not equal. couldn’t keep my mind from imagining many other things all the time. Physically adjusted body sometimes specially shoulders. I hope it gets better with practice. Guys, i cant belive that i actually expirienced as Sadhguru said crosing the limitations of the body and the mind, just do it daily. But Sometimes i done that 3,4 times in a row(because it felt pleasant) . It is magic. I kinda lost sense of my body, and entered state which I hardly can explain. But after the practice, i returned back of course to an ordinary state, so refreshed! It is important to be still and focused on instructions! Probably i expirienced a drop of spirituality, and I will improve over time with my practice I guess. If you dont do practice for, one or couple of days, it is ok, but return to that again and again.

Alright... powerful doesn't even begin to describe this meditation. I only did it once, and afterward I noticed how calm I was, much more at peace. Very noticable. Then... I did a simple focus mediation, keeping in mind what Sadguru had said in a video leading to this... and I became aware of something that wasn't the body or mind.... and I was able to focus on it after it left my body. Granted, I have been mediating for several months now, and I guess you can say 2-3 years. This experience has made a few things clear to me, that I will be hard pressed to find the right words for. First... after it left the body, there was this sentiment of " why would I come back? I didn't feel like or want to do anything... but my mind was a little wanting to do something... anything even though it was largely at rest. My body... just a tad bit impatient perhaps, but resting as well. But this..... awareness didn't want to do anything... and it was apparent that it was outside my body... or rather maybe I should say I was the awareness viewing the awareness through the human body apparatus. Perhaps viewed myself and I didn't want to do anything. Honestly my mind thought it was a little... anti-climatic maybe.... dissapointing? But that is probably the ego speaking. That leads on to something else i discovered. I liked the idea of pleasantless, like pleasantly hanging around people, or doing something good. When I thought about doing something I thought was pleasant, (which after looking at everything i do I noticed there was very little that i view as pleasant) I felt this feeling/awareness around my gut, in the same place that felt empty when my awareness left my body. This makes it apparent to me that this "awareness" moves to and accumulates in beings and in things that are pleasant. That... and things that are interesting. This is why people have a drive to be pleasant and to be interesting... either my chasing a cheap high or becoming popular... or by becoming the best at something or doing something unique or in an interesting way. People want to be everything essentially, they want to be awesome and feel good to accumulate more awareness... like free market capitalism. Perhaps it's because this awareness evolves things, but i don't know. This awareness might be the creator experiencing the creation, which would explain why it doesn't want to do anything, merely wanting to experience. (Or maybe I wasn't doing anything that would illicit a reaction) So... people who are enlightened are probably people who are able to be aware of a large part or maybe even all of creation at once, which is why this "I" or creator would be drawn to them, because they are an ideal lense for the creator to experience the creation/itself. So... as a life form you want to see things as clear as possible, and do your best to be pleasant and as capable as possible. Perhaps the creator instilled these 3 desires into life so the creator can experience well. But make no mistake, the life form isn't you, merely a tool. You are the creator, using the life form to experience. This would explain why people get thoughts of suicide if thier lives are extrememly unpleasant and uninteresting. And why people who are overjoyed and have unique talents feel the need to share that joy and talent with the world. It's all about experience. God is likely jumping from each of us all the time expereinceing whatever... or just all at once. By becoming enlightened, A bit of God experiences all of God.... maybe. I've gone on long enough. So yeah this mediation did quite a bit for me, made it clear to me that i should be pleasant and do my best to be interesting/unique/awesome in my life. Preferably both. I have been really focused on improving myself, as that was my way to get closer to myself/god... but now I realize pleasantness is important as well. Pleasantness not so much as feel good party... more like how you actually want to feel... hard to find the right words. Now I know a better way. I say a lot of people pursue cheap pleasure or try to gain attention through shallow means.... but that's only because they don't know better ways lol. I may have found clarity on the meaning of life as a human, maybe life in general. Yeah, kind of feels like it. That sets this mind and body up pretty good I guess. Yeah, ought to be good. Yeah I recomend doing the meditation, it feels like I have been missing it all my life. Kudos to Sadguru and everyone who brought us this.

Does anyone know where I can find the English Translation to the chant at the end? This part of the meditation makes me weep, I am wondering what he is saying. Hi Lori - just read your comment that was written a year ago, however here's my interpretation in answer to your question. All words are made up from vibrations that read deep into your psych. It matters not whether you translate these or not into english, urdu....... the vibrations will affect your core in exactly the same way. So just repeat the sounds you here and know that they will work. The vibration of the English word yes has the same effect as the same word in a different language. Think on that and be at peace.

Sharing my experience of doing Kriya regularly- 1) it delivers all the 4 items as said in the video- health, dynamism, prosperity, well being. I hardly fall sick and even if I do I bounce back like an ice cube 2) my communication skills, organising skills, discipline, self management, intuition have enhanced greatly 3) it has helped me manifest my deepest desires and supports me in all I want to achieve. I can clearly feel the hand of Grace working with me 4) it opened the way for more spiritual knowledge , Teachings from other masters, and lots of Divine love has poured into my life 5) very subtle Divine protection in the form of taking right decisions, intuitively knowing what is the best way forward, keeping calm during adverse situations, knowing and owning my mistakes rather that blaming others And many more countless benefits that I have enjoyed over the past 8 years of doing this Kriya regularly.

It is not important how or where you sit it's the desire that counts, the desire to achieve the yoga/ union with the divine! Sitting on a chair is fine! but you will not achieve your self realisation doing this non sense anyway because running after falsehood doesn't take us to God anyway, does it? But Sahaja yoga is different...because it STARTS with Self Realisation! search ' Shri Mataji - Self Realisation! ' the only requirement is an open heart and a ' Pure ' desire! A desire to achieve your Second birth!

Let me share my experience. I am Isha Kriya from last 3 years (not continuous 😜 ). When I do Kriya in the morning it don't reflect significant change in experience but when I do in evening around 7pm it makes me too calm that after doing kriya, i don't talk to anyone about an hour. If someone try to talk with me i just give him a smile and remain quite. It happens naturally i don't need to do it forcefully.

there are apps for Isha kriya and the downloads are safe...does the computer say unsafe or could be unsafe=)i have the app, done inner engineering but still use youtube daily=) go to The Isha website also...there is an Isha channel on youtube that can get you there. work on getting to cross legged when not meditating, comfortably and only during med when comfortable. the chair with FEET ON THE FLOOR, KNEES PARALLEL OR ABOVE HIPS is the most common alternative, then easy pose(cross legged..easy is relative term=), half lotus,then lotus. the upa yoga found here or through the 5 minute yoga tools app are excellent for flexibility...GOOD LUCK AND KEEP IT FUN interesting ...fall in love with it n just stay there=)

Concentrate on your breathing nothing is wrong. After some time your mind will be habitual of this and it won't effect you anymore.

Well i suppose it requires some preperation, buta shuddi, as much as possible, and maybe some namaskar, i am new to yoga, but i have done some practices over the years, and started this one earlier previous week and i can feel the benefits, you will notice how small psychological aspect is, i dont want to go into nonsense, but idk try to change things, maybe it will work somehow, i cried from some singing from different people in practices, but i got over it overtime, but if your body hurts, u need butha shudi, also try other his beginner practices, it all starts from the basics. ;)

Guys if you feel distracted from this "chant", they are kind of training wheels. The real exercise is simply focus on breath without any extraneous elements. Look up "ana pana" google. The purest [minimal] form of this meditation if that suits you better. The "ana pana" meditation creates the basis for another great meditation called Vipassana.

+John Ulzii If you wear contacts, sometimes they can stick and move around when you open you eyes. They will readjust after. This could cause dizziness If you don't, it could have to do with the breathing, and if thats the case, your body will get used to it. There's nothing to worry about

This might be a bit shocking but you must understand that if someone creates fear inside you, no matter how much you think you love this person, the reality is that you don't. No matter who it is. Your mind might play many tricks on you to make you believe that you do but the fact is that you do not. You might at best think it intellectually, but experientially you do not feel love for that person, it is fear that you feel. The same way that you cannot make darkness go away, you can only light it up, you can not make your fears go away forcefully, you can only watch them, accept that they are there, and become loving and joyfull instead. I can not imagine someone being full of love and fear at the same time. You can feel love at one moment and fear in the other but if they happen at the same time, the strongest will take over. If you can be intensely loving, at every moment of your life, I can not imagine fear having control over you. Please understand that I am not talking about the idea of loving someone or something. I am talking about the feeling inside. But be carefull, loving someone or something is also tricky. The moment they do not act the way you like, your love might slip away from you. That is why gurus are talking about love itself, not love towards someone else. Be aware of what really is love, Not the thought directed at someone or something but the juicy feeling inside your being. this way you can become love. become loving. Then love will not be a consequence of the outside world but a quality that you have in you. The chemistry of your body will change radically and fear will start being unable to affect you.

Do meditaions and get also professional help for your phobia. There are many techniques to help you to reprogram your thoughts. F.e. art therapy or Phyllis Krystal method with the star of fear, just to mention two . Also, ask yourself where the phobia comes from, when did it started. When you understand this, you know why you have this fear its easier to control it. Sometimes it is also the fear from the fear that paralizes us. Fear is only a projection into the future and is not real unless you are facing a real threatening situation like a lionattack😊. All the best.

Jan Usually it would be explained that the Energy rises in the East, and descends In the West. When you face the Sunset In Meditation, you are aligning with Prajna. When you face the Sunrise In Meditation, you are aligning with Akasha. Akasha Is the Inner connected Consiousness of all things, and has been given many names over the course of Time. Prajna on the other hand, Is likened to be the numerous Vibrational Frequencies that all Matter resonates to. When you face the East, Energy enters from the Right of the Body, and exits from the Left of the Body. When you face West, this Is reversed. You could consider It aligning with the Natural Flow, or going against the Natural Flow. Neither are right or wrong, but an excess of either creates a major difference rather than If It was Balanced. Aside from the Morning / Evening difference, overall Time of day also changes this, but the video doesn't mention too much in depth because Isha Foundation prefers only to teach basics to a public mass, simply because some things are dangerous to be taught by those who don't understand what they are doing.

I would yawn like my hardest most intense yawns in my Life, everytime i am doing this meditation. Yawns i normally do not do when i am sleepy .. like with my hands shaking and tears start rolling down my face. I fight so hard not to open my eyes & focus on the spot between my eyebrows. does anybody have the same problem like mine? What does this ridiculous yawning mean?
