Try Evelyn Dominguez channel here on YT she does cooking videos in pr spanish and English. I learned a lot of pr cooking vocabulary there

@Gina Rivers So I bought 2 cookbooks: 1. Vegan Boricua Cookbook. By. Rhonitta Chance 2. The Easy Puerto Rican Cookbook. By. Tony Rican. You can sub out meat for tofu and replace dairy as well. Mine are in English.

Depending on where you're at with your learning, El Jíbaro Moderno is great to learn cooking terms. He also speaks with an awesome Jíbaro accent that's a delight to hear. And also, Dándole El Cucharón is another KZbin channel by a nice Puerto Rican gal that teaches recipes. Highly recommend both.

Thanks for sharing! My fiance's family moved from Puerto Rico in the early 90's, and we are about to get married so I am trying to not just learn Spanish but really learn Puerto Rican spanish and also appreciate his culture more.

Your uncle Tony sounded just like my dad when he spoke Spanish, he was Puerto Rican from the Bronx and growing up in NY I was so used to this dialect from my family. Im still trying to learn, I’m in MD now and the Spanish dialect here is obviously so different. This video reminded me of home!

Yesss, hearing Spanish being used in real life is definitely helpful. Maybe if you have outings with friends, you could record some of your conversations that you think would be suitable for videos

I have been practicing for 6 months now, and it has been an adjustment, but I have still tried hard to make sure I have my diction correct. I must say that you have been a big help with your videos, your shorts, and I'm beginning to think more in Spanish, although English is mí primero idioma, pero yo nací en mi corazón y sangre a ser Boricua
