I can't tell you how thankful I am that you're sharing this knowledge. I'm a novice to production and learning how these things work is helping me tremendously. For a while I avoided presence xt because it looked too complicated. By breaking each part down you've shown me it's not so bad and quite easy to understand. We definitely need more people sharing valuable knowledge in Studio one 3 because many videos are outdated and geared towards other days such as FL studio, pro tools, etc. Thanks again sir

Thanks for the feedback, Austin. I will be covering all aspects of Studio One 3, so keep an eye out. Good luck with your music production.

I have a problem that is I can not choose any presets (sounds on the midi) it just says default and when I click it doesn't have choices as you do. I had choices before but for some reason, they are gone. How do I fix it? am on MacBook pro FYI

When I adjust the LFO or even the glide my vst sound doesn't change at all. I am not using a midi keyboard, just the mouse to draw in notes. Could this be why/

At 5 to 6 min into video: midi Mapping and assigning controller knob functions doesn't seem to work at all like this in Studio One 4.6 + as of May 2020. I can't get those features to work at all yet. (Except pitch bend and mod wheel from my controller appear to register automatically.) But other parts of the video seem consistent with newer Studio One version.

Does Presence-XT work with MIDI keyboards only? is there no other way to create notes with it?
@alyxskyler4 жыл бұрын
I have the 4 pro version-but when I try to load this, it just shows "No Program" in the gray box in the middle of the presence window. Why would this be? Thank you for the amazing videos!!!
@quantaaudio4 жыл бұрын
You need to load a "preset" in Presence as I show at around the 3-minute mark in this video. If you don't see any presets to choose from, then you need to download and install the Studio One soundsets from your account.

if i create a drum pattern using Presence (via its own drum packs) with multiple percussion instruments in that same pattern, can i fine tune/mix the volume of the individual instruments within that specific track. Should i just extract each part from that pattern into a separate "Presence" track of its own, which is what I was trying to avoid?
@quantaaudio6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, unfortunately there is no way to mix each instrument when using Presence. Just so you are aware, this is possible when using Impact. The best way to separate out those MIDI notes to separate tracks would be to select all of the MIDI parts on your Presence track, right-click on one of them and within the menu that pops up go to "Instrument Parts" and choose "Explode Pitches to Tracks". This will place each drum sound on it's own track and map it to your Presence. Hope this helps.

I'm getting into S1 now via the free version and was upset to see that PXT doesn't handle editing multiple instruments individually (like drumsets). But I got like twelve PXT running my percussion now, works pretty well, I just like to have all my drums on the same midi track, so I can edit easily. Is there a way to do that?

How to rout multipale output in presence ? pls help me out

Presence is a stereo device. Only left and right stereo out.

I can't even make the Presence keyboard appear anymore. let alone get any sound out of it.

Instant fail. Remember, you stated that this video was "Created for beginners...". You don't show how to open whatever the display you have is that is showing some type of keyboard.
@quantaaudio Жыл бұрын
The only "fail' is this silly comment. In the first few minutes of the video I cover the main areas of the Instrument, including the virtual keyboard that is showing and what button to click to access it... 6:12 I think you're probably the type of individual that just loves to find something negative in life and in others to complain about. Please don't bring that negativity to my channel. I create in-depth content that requires a large time-investment from me, that people can watch for FREE. What have you contributed to audio education that is free for people to learn from? (rhetorical question)
