Thanx a lot! I am an autodidact so I got a lot of knowledge in S1, yet not in a systematic way! Your explanations closed some gaps in my knowledge! 👍 By the way: you can temporarily escape the grid by pressing shift.

This is great and pretty close to a tutorial which starts from square ONE. In other words, with a BLANK editor and teach us "dummies" how to record and then edit a simple voice-over.

Can I just drop audio sounds from keyboard without using midi?

thanks for the helpful vid, and can i just say, I love the weird vibes in your music! Normally peolpe in these kind of tutorials are just using some wack beat or a basic electronic track, but this is really cool!

Is there a way to change the waveform colour as in Cubase?
@quantaaudio5 жыл бұрын
The waveform color will always be black, but you can change the color of the event that it's housed in by right-clicking on it and then there is a color bar in the upper left hand corner that you can click on to access a color palette...
@MualchinRecordsUaadaa5 жыл бұрын
@@quantaaudio I know this event color. I think waveform color should be in new updates. Thanks for the answer.

Hey how do you make the original instrumental beats longer? I tried highlighting and using the arrow, and I tried copying and pasting. Somebody help me out

Highlight the audio event/instrumental and press "D" on your QWERTY keyboard.

Quanta I appreciate it hey I got one more problem. I mixdown a song and now I can't go back and record to it, It wouldn't even let me create an empty song to rerecord to it. Do you have any ideas as to what is going wrong?

Quick silly question, how to record on same track and it should record just after the already recorded part.??? Hope you understood the question.
@quantaaudio6 жыл бұрын
Just set the playback cursor to right behind the previously recorded part (you do this by clicking once in the ruler) and then press record. Of course, be sure that the track is still armed for recording...

Maybe you should choose stereo track

This DAW is missing the most basic edit function " replace overlap" , if you paste or drag something over an audio waveform it will keep both. People have been asking for it since 2016 and nothing yet! I'll keep checking, but for now is impossible to use it for serious audio editing.
@quantaaudio4 жыл бұрын
Just curious what you are basing your statement on that this feature does not exist? I have this feature in my version of Studio One, not sure what you're using...
@ElmerFerrer4 жыл бұрын
@@quantaaudio 4.6.1 could you please show me that you paste or drag an audio over the other one and it will replace the one that is underneath? I would love to see it, I would come back to S1 right away.
@quantaaudio4 жыл бұрын
Okay, now I think I understand what you were explaining. When you said " if you paste or drag something over an audio waveform it will keep both", I was thinking of S1 playing the audio from both. Which in this instance the "play overlaps" option would resolve the issue, and that's what I had in mind. I have never edited audio in the way that you were describing so I think that's why I misunderstood you. I have also now seen folks requesting this on the Presonus website, as you mentioned. Who knows, maybe they'll include it in their next update to 5.0. Guess no one should hold their breath, though.
@ElmerFerrer4 жыл бұрын
@Quanta thanks for the answer, That's an option that almost all DAWs have. That's basic editing options. It's really annoying that S1 keeps adding all those fancy functions, drag and drop for adding plugins, etc and hasn't fix this yet. It's like having a text edit software in 3D that doesn't have a simple copy and paste function, how can you edit audio in a long session without that??... Sorry but S1 is not there yet, still has a couple of serious issues that makes it look still amateur
