I am completely missing my presets folder and I don’t know how to add it in. I couldn’t find it searching any way that you mentioned in your video. It’s completely missing.

Thanks a lot for this very useful video... I am new to S1 and I was a bit puzzled how to go about installing and locating all the extra available soundsets for S1. Basically the extra soundsets content can be installed anywhere in the computer and even on external drives, then it is just a matter of adding the correct location in the Options>Locations>Soundsets windows as you showed at 1:58. Hey I recently moved my studio one folder from my iCloud on my Mac to my local documents folder all together and now the sessions pop up but the files are missing although the files are there. What do I do in this case?

You need to go to the Studio One options menu and select the "Locations" tab. In the top field click on the button that is to the right and has an ellipses in it("..."), then change the location to your local drive's documents folder.

The tip on looking for missing content in studio one ....i.e. look in the installation folder that's where I found all my missing presets where just sitting there waiting for me to discover them and install them....I would have thought they would have got of the couch when the install wizard came around...lol...thank you so much....

Hey dude, im hoping you can help. On the stock compressor, the send arrow, which sits directly to the right of the 'sidechain' button isnt there on my studio one, I can only see the word sidechain but no arroe to select send..why would that be ? Can you help please bro? Thanks

I have version 5.5. 82 of SO Pro. My Sound Sets location is correct. I even removed it and re-added the location. The files are there per Windows Explorer. But, in the SO Browser, no joy. Sound Sets shows empty. The Sound Sets check on SO startup doesn't flinch. All my presets from the Sound Sets show up in the Presence plugin. So we know SO is seeing them. Just not the Files area. I even tried moving the Sound Sets folder to the desktop. Shut down SO. Re-opened. Shut it down again. Moved the folder back. Re-opened. Still no joy.

I’ve been mixing and mastering an album for somebody for the last few weeks and all of a sudden tonight studio one said storage full and said missing devices (slate plugins) and all those plugins then shown up red and wouldn’t work and I don’t know how to fix this I’ve tried to uninstall them and reinstall and it’s still not working when scanning plugins it’s just keeps loading on these specific plugins and they don’t go to the next plugins so I skip and then finally get into studio one load the project and now the plugins aren’t there? Please help as this is important and a lot of work I would now have to redo with different plugins

I had a free upgrade to Studio One 5 in my presonus account. I am upgrading from Studio one 3 Artist. I lost presets as well. Also I can't drag and drop any effects in to the rack.

Lost sound sets in drum kits, and songs as well. Instead of question mark in pool, it shows a bug on files affected. Song won't even play on the files affected. I don't know what to do. Never saw the "bug" before

Studio wasn't recognizing my guitar. I could hear it, but it couldn't record. I did an update yesterday and now I can record, but none of my presets work. I have the Ampire metal pack and it's all there, but neither those or the studio one presets do anything to change the sound of my guitar. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm very frustrated. Thanks!

Missing Mai Tai and Impact. I have uninstalled, restarted and reinstalled. I have followed your steps and other steps and no change.

If you're not using the artist or professional version of Studio One Mai Tai and Impact will not show up.

@@quantaaudio nope that wasn't the problem. It was with the latest update. I ended up clearing out the setting folder and reloading the program again.

tnx again. i checked it out...here's the problem! studio one 6 gave me addresses for soundset but neither of those folders existed! even my user data folder, it only contains "IO Configurations" and "Macros". I'm not sure!

Hey, i have the free version of studio one 5 and i was moving all my documents from my laptop to my new computer and i tried making a song and adding effects but it doesn’t do anything when i drag and drop it on the mixer so i was wondering if you’d be able to help me understand what’s going on with my software, im not sure if its seeing the files on my computer or if the files that i need are simply not there, anything will help

I resolved my problem, and I appreciate your help, by renaming the file (in Windows 10), under C:\users\(my user name)\appdata\Presonus\Studio One (your version)\Studioone.settings to Studioone.setold, and then restarting Studio One, and recreating the file, the index for the Sound Sets was repaired.

@@richardthelionheart01 "This is the answer". Please do not misguide my viewers. It may have been the answer for your situation and the original poster. But what I show in the video may work better for others - as you can clearly see by other folks who have commented in the video. Changing file names in the system directory from the default naming scheme S1 creates is a bit dangerous and should be done with great care.

According to the chart that I mentioned in this video, Ampire is not included in the Artist version of S1. You would probably need to upgrade to access it, or check out the presonus shop to see if it's available for separate purchase and download.
