This was a really good video, but I have a specific technique I am trying to perform in StudioOne 5: How do I set up my project, audio file, etc, to the formatting that will allow me to take my sample (a track that I do not know the tempo of upon loading into a StudioOne track), slice a piece/loop of this track, then move the tempo up and down until I find the original tempo of that piece/sample chop/audio clip before any time stretching occurs? This is how I find the original tempo in other DAWS, but it doesn't work in StudioOne Pro 5 (I recently upgraded from Pro 3 thinking the upgrade would resolve this issue). Please & Thank you in advanced!

Hey, I set the clip tempo mode to not follow, then adjust the project tempo to the sample. After finding the tempo I set it as the file tempo and then I can use the timestretch algorithm in the project.

Wonder if this would work like my old analog Tascam recorder. I was able to take the recorded tracks of a song, and speed up the tape a tad, and record my vocal, so that when I'd play it back at the regular speed, my voice would sound deeper. I've been unable to find anything in the digital world that would do this, and this looks like it may be possible, though you're working with a midi track and a wave track. Thanks for the tutorial, and I'm going to try it out tomorrow.

I do the same thing in my beloved in Reason .. to spicy a bit my groove a là "Akai S950" ( also if there's an appropriate plugin for the job..)

It's ridiculous we had to wait until version 5 to get this basic feature , i'm still on 4.5 btw

That's one way to look at it. For me however, as someone who grew up using analog gear - I think its just amazing that we have an entire $200k music studio worth of gear in a $400 software application. Before this feature was available (and even after it became available) I'd just drop my audio samples into Same One and resample that way. Done.
