Another stunner! Is the sound stacking process the same across different DAWs and what causes the hits to the CPU more: specific plugins or the DAW used?

I was wondering if sample one was able to do this slicing process! Thanks for the info!

Good stuff. Another reason to resample hardware is you can take it on the road without the bulk. Pounds vs Megabytes on a transatlantic flight is a no brainer. Thanks as always.

Edit Sample is for editing individual samples when you hame multiple samples and want to pitch, filter and amp them in diferent ways. Dope video btw.

What would be a great feature is being able to replace the same sample in multiple zones. Like if one took the time to create a preset containing minor and major cords transposed accordingly, he could the simply replace 2 samples and save a new preset.

Dope video brother.

Dope. this is a similar workflow I often mess with in the MPC. you can stacc up on original sounds. and it definitely saves on CPU. Respect Da Process. #KeepBangin

Still trying to hit this process up in FL using instachord/scale and the new drop to sample workflow in 20.

I think you can use DirectWave in a similar way, not sure.
@midisignal79746 жыл бұрын
You can also transform any midi track via ‘bounce audio’ and you end up in the same situation. You cannot play the chord pitched, but if you are only looking to share or lower cpu usage, it’s way easier just to bounce the track.
@MGTheFuture6 жыл бұрын
Bouncing gets funny when using multiple tracks - that seems to be the advantage of "resampling" for the Electro / House dudes ...stacking 3-10 synths into one chord that they can filter and re-use. Else, agreed

I use a combinator to control multiple synths and record chords straight into audio channel in Reason

When recording in should you switch it to 16-bit resolution? or leave it at 24?

Praying for a July 4th Presonus sale so I can get Studio One. lol. Can you explain how you dragged and dropped the multiple instruments and got them to play at one time? It looked extremely effortless.

@grimeyneedle15276 жыл бұрын
Youll have to do a Sample One XT pt2 using the gate record function. That's pretty dope. Just play licks and you got ready made samples

Sadly I don’t play any instruments that benefit from that 🤔

Major Key Alert: You can drag a midi event directly into Sample One XT or one of Impact XT pads and it will convert it into an audio sample.
@MGTheFuture6 жыл бұрын
Very dope. I think you’d still have to sample manually for stacks tho ....unless there’s a multi instrument setup / routing it can use for one midi clip
@skipnobeet87656 жыл бұрын
Actually if you drag multiple events from different tracks onto an Impact XT pad, it will stack them under one pad, unless you hold down shift which will spread them across multiple pads respectfully. From there you can select "stacked" under the layer mode option which will trigger both samples at the same time giving you the affect of a bounced stereo audio file with the ability to manipulate the individual stems or all as a group. Same for Sample One XT. You just have to adjust each sample root key if you want them to layer on top of each other using one key.

Do you know how to make these stereo drum samples in impact xt to mono? Seems to me these slightly off stereo hits are just gonna create phase issues.

Yo I just checked out EZ Keys because I wanted something to help my write better chord progressions and I know you got the Dream Machines one but myn... Mellotoon seems to be right up your alley. It screams lofi! Maybe I get this one instead of Dream Machines cuz I already got NI Scarbee Vintage Keys. If you haven't already, you should definitely check out Mellotoon, I feel this could be a really dope addition to your production.
