I've been a Studio One owner for nearly 2 years now, upgraded to the full version last year after Presonus offered me a good deal to upgrade, but I have never really known how to use this, along with the other samplers & synths that come with Studio One. I've actually learnt more in 24:16 than I have since I've owned it, and was starting to lose interest in the whole thing. But now I feel confident that I can learn it, I just needed showing so thanks very much for this, I'm going to binge watch all your other videos now mate

Awesome. Glad that you go re-inspired to dive in and learn the DAW! You can do it, just watch the tuts and keep pluggin' away at it. There's a bit of a learning curve, as with most software, but once you've got the basics down you'll be able to create the music you'd like to produce. Best of luck and thanks for supporting the channel.

Cheers mate, I have been diving in, your Studio One videos are by far the best I've seen on youtube. I don't subscribe to many channels lightly but yours has deserved my support so I subscribed and would recommend anyone in the same situation as me to do the same. Yes it is daunting and it can become disheartening if you can't get to grips with it but your videos have definitely helped. It's one of those things I said I'd be alright if I could just watch somebody for a while I would learn, but I don't have any friends near me who uses DAWs so this is as good as it gets hahaha 👍

How do you mix and match samples from different sound sets?

You must have some drum sound plug-ins. Where do I go to get those? Great videos by the way.
@quantaaudio7 жыл бұрын
I'd just do a search with the keywords "free drum samples". That should give you numerous sites/leads.

What's the best drum machine to just quickly make beats up to see if you like them? I wanna make up cool ones then try to learn them on my srums

Impact is pretty good to start on, in my opinion. It's pretty straight forward and easy to use without being overwhelming in features like some other drum VSTs.

why when im playing my kick sample with this on an already made midi track im not getting any sound?
@MikaelKonradsson7 жыл бұрын
hello, good video! I have a very annoying situation. I wanna start creating drum fills and such, ive just done drum loops in the past with no fills. And everytime i click "quantize" it just messes up my fill. Ive tried different time signatures and such and i play pretty much in "time" with the metronome. Im using my QWERTY keyboard as a controller right now, as i think that saves much more time than just writing the notes manually. Do you have any tips on how i can learn to make the piano roll do what i want to do? And not the other way around, if that makes sense. Maybe its just me but its really annoying me and making me extremely frustrated

It's kinda hard to give an answer without seeing exactly what you're doing in your song. But, I'd first recommend that you do not change the time-signature after you've recorded everything. I think that the problem most likely lies with the setting in your "quantize value" area. You will get all sorts of different results based on what you've got this set at, and it could totally kill your fill if it's not set properly. I would recommend trying, say 1/16 as a setting, and see how that goes. If it sounds bad, CTRL/CMD + Z to undo then try 1/4. You should be able to look at your MIDI notes in the editor to see which setting will work best for what you've recorded, unless you're just not family with bars, beats, etc. Keep in mind that, if you're using your QWERTY keyboard to play the fills, even if you find a quantize value that seems to work best, with a fill, you'll probably still need to go in and manually adjust a note or two. I'd also recommend watching this tutorial on working with MIDI in Studio One... kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZeYfqudpL9sb9U

Quanta hehe maybe time signature was a wrong expression by me. I meant ive changed the quantize-value to like 1/8 notes, 1/16 etc, but none of theese values "work" for me. But i will try again and watch the turtorial, maybe i havent CTRL+Z all the time and that messes up the quantize? Thanks for the reply

hello dear first of all thanks for this amazing series, secondly I want to ask when you did merge two buttons at one tap, so how to cancel it or comeback to the original case? thanks
@quantaaudio6 жыл бұрын
Not sure I understand your question. But, you can always just reverse the process by using the same steps that you did to create the change in the first place. Hope this helps...

I just upgraded today. I now have PRIME. And i am totally totally lost by it.I just tried it out and added 7 channels just random amount and adding several instruments and just random melody and bass line..Anyway i hit a button that actually removed one of the channels from view. it was still there but it never played it. i cant get it back no matter what i do. it wasn't DELETE channel or HIDE but its still hidden from the mixer. i cant explain this correctly.. I might just go back to some crap DAW Like MAGIX. I think i got to deep this time...LOL.

Can you creat fades in Impact for each sample?
@quantaaudio6 жыл бұрын
Hey, Brent. Not quite sure I understand your question completely. Are you referring to a fade in, after triggering the sample in a pad, or it's fade out, etc. The ADSR controls would typically be used for this, unless I'm just totally misunderstanding your question.
