Merhaba Sercan Bey, çok güzel bir video. Teşekkür ederim. So what is the difference between "diliyorum" and "dilerim" in the following sentences: "Aşkim, her şey için senden çok özür diliyorum!" and "Aşkım, her şey için senden çok özür dilerim!" Şimdiden cevabınız teşekkür ederim.😊

Merhaba, rica ederim. Desteğiniz için teşekkürler. There is no real difference other than the tense that is used. "diliyorum" is the present continuous tense and "dilerim" is the simple past tense. Both are used with the meaning of "I apologize for everything." One nuance could be that "simple present tense" conjugation is also used to mean "would". But, i am not sure if it makes sense in such sentence.

Hi again. At 6:35, can I write that sentence like this “Yarın bana yeni evi gösterecekler.” And still be grammatically correct? And thank you for all your help. 🙏🏻

Hi there. Yes, you definitely say "Yarın bana yeni evi gösterecekler.". In Turkish, the stress (the important element in the sentence) comes right before the predicate. When you say "Bana yeni evi yarın gösterecekler"., the importance is on "yarın" (tomorrow). What you want to deliver is that "It is tomorrow that they will show you the new house". When you say "Yarın bana yeni evi gösterecekler." then what is important is "yeni ev (new house)". You can also say "Yarın yeni evi bana gösterecekler", "Yeni evi bana yarın gösterecekler"...etc. by keeping the predicate at the end. But it is always that, what comes before the predicate is stressed in the sentence. Well, this is Turkish, irregular sentences are used very commonly. That means, predicate can also move. "Yarın göstecekler bana yeni evi.", "Yeni evi gösterecekler bana yarın"...etc. All are fine and can be used in daily sentences.

out of topic..what is difference between cumhur and millet ? :) . Teşekkür ederim
@TurkishJourney
@TurkishJourney Жыл бұрын
"Millet" means "people, nation, society". For example, Türk Milleti = Turkish nation. We even use it to mean "everybody" from time to time. For example, when you greet your friends, you may say "Selam millet" casually which means "Hi huys, hello everyone". But in the context of your question, it means "nation". "Cumhur" means "the general public, community". Both words mean more or less the same as a meaning. And none of them is originally Turkish. In daily lie, we use "millet" often to mean "people, society, nation" however you would hear "cumhur" only in the words like "Cumhuriyet or Cumhurbaşkanı (president - literally "head of the general public, head of the society)". We never use "cumhur" as it is to mean "the general public" or "society". Hope this helps :)
