The picatto playing reminds me of how a bassist would play with their right hand plucking through the strings, and the thumb resting on the lowest string or placed on the body to anchor.

I think Woods is based out of LA, not Seattle. For a flamenco noob, that was pretty good; I give you super credit for trying this. As a friendly suggestion, wider string-string spacing of a true classical/flamenco guitar makes picado, tremolo, arpeggios and even alzapua a LOT easier. Also, FYI Ben Woods does his rasgeo "backwards" leading with his index finger. I see you copied him, but I'd strongly suggest NOT doing it the way he does. Pretty much everyone ELSE (including every famous Spanish pro flamenco guitarist) starts with the ring finger, and I think you'll find that a lot more natural and easier.

I have been practicing flamenco for about a year and to me, tremolo is the hardest, next is alzapua and the third is rasgueado. You gotta get your fingernails' shape right for tremolo. For alzapua, you have to get you thumb to the same position everytime like damn. For rasgueado, it is easy to get the hang of it but to get it to sound right everytime is a real challenge

When I learned flamenco I learned that the alzapua is kinda like thumping, except you don't mute any strings nor do you hit a muted string and follow through. If you do alzapua on the A string then you just use your thumb to play the A string, but then you bring it down and hit the D and the G or more depending on what you're playing. You can stick your pinky finger out for balance, but it takes immense amounts of practice to master....... and a lot of broken fingernails.....
