It's so sick and steezy, it looks so much better than just doing a tiny 180 into a grind. I love how broskow does it after the grinds too, I've noticed he often rewinds out of a grind, then rewinds again the other way with the garnish. So technical and controlled, love it

Very slick move! Yeah, it’s like an extension of a parallel slide where you carry enough speed and go beyond parallel to fakie. Defo worth spending a few sessions on. Smooth surface is a prerequisite. 😁

Does skateclubhq know about this video? I'm sure he would love it. Also, did he coin the term 'garnish'? Also, you make a great point when saying that these maneuvers "give aggressive skating some really fresh looking movements." So true. And lastly, you seemed like and even mentioned that these are really fun for you - I've been wanting to try them for a while and will do just that tomorrow. Thanks again.

honestly i just call that a "pivot" seeing as how i use to have a background in skateboarding i bring alot of the trick names over to inline just as a force of habit

@acostablades81383 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Sounds like you have a passion for inline skating, I would suggest getting some aggressive inline styled skates and go get creative. You can learn about the function of an aggressive inline skate through youtube, or vods and skate videos But the real discovery is to just be you create and have fun!

Medspin dude! Or Medwind, depending if you go rewind or revert
@bernsahr3 жыл бұрын
isnt the medspin a eagle (one foot forward, one backward) jump into a frontside forward 180?
@redsunsho3 жыл бұрын
@@bernsahr yes it is. Medspin starts from an eagle turn, one foot fakie, then 180 blind rotation (spinning revert). Medwind starts from an eagle turn, one foot fakie, then 180 inverted rotation (spinning rewind). So garnish is basically a u turn, fakie, then a rewind or revert spin. Both tricks look cool
@aldolega3 жыл бұрын
It's not a medspin, that's a specific thing invented years ago by Med Abrous in NYC. This "medwind" term, I've never heard, but it's an interesting name for a body shuffle/mindchange (Jon Elliott in BFG trick).

@pg91933 жыл бұрын
i think it's a Forward Gazelle - but that's just wizard skating terminology
@bernsahr3 жыл бұрын
its the same outcome, but a gazelle is a 2-footed 3-turn, so with the gazelle there is (techincally) no sliding involved in contrast to the trick showed in the video
@pg91933 жыл бұрын
@@bernsahr ohh yeah that's true. they call the one-footed gazelle a "lion" but I guess that's just a 3-turn. I've been working on slowly doing 3-turns so I can work up to the much more steezy lion
@bernsahr3 жыл бұрын
@@pg9193 i spend half a year looking out for freestyle tutorials but i still dont understand the difference between the lion and the 3-turn^^ Did you watched the Lion-X tutorial by shoptask? This really broke the ice for my, first with rockered skates, working on 3turns with unrockered skates now
