Brilliant video Coach! I used to think I was just a kinesthetic learner. Even though it's my most-developed system, I have learned to strengthen my audio and visual systems as well. The reason being that I knew if I could learn how to understand (audio or visual) podcast content more, the more skills/knowledge I would be able to learn on my daily commute! I'm also a public speaker and I love incorporating all 3 representation styles in my speaking engagements as well. Ya never know which one you're gonna need more than the others! Great stuff though and I look forward to learning more from you Alex!

Coach, 1) Physical Learning bypasses the frontal-cortex, neurochemically-controlled, short-term memory and incorporates memory in long-chain muscle memory. An artist who paints right handed develops neurons and neuron chains in the region of their brain controlling their right arm. Then those neurons become incorporated in the design process. I can also explain it understanding that the neuron is only the receptor for DNA memory which may be linked to Quantum Memory, but so few of us care. 2) I am struggling with it and you said it, ‘Power Point’. The need is big. I am learning through my struggles to use Power Point instead of being on camera. I thought that when the trials make it hard to be on camera, I could easily make a Power Point video… I was wrong about the easy part. Results soon, and I have been saying that for two weeks. Keep up the great work. Best to you and Yours. Chris

Good to hear from you, Chris. Physical learning is so important AND so bypassed by most educational institutions. It's a shame, really, because many jobs and skills end up being physical in many ways. As for the videos, just keep working it. Be patient with yourself. You'll get there.

rhyme, In the realm of words, where language reigns, A master of speech, wisdom he gains. His eloquent verses doth he command, With the power of G_d, his rhymes expand. A historic tapestry we shall weave, From ancient times, our tale shall achieve. The art of rhyme, a gift divine, Bestowed upon us, this rhythm and line. From great Homer's epics, to Shakespeare's plays, Rhyme's rich legacy, we sing its praise. A visual masterpiece, our minds conceive, Each syllable dances, as rhymes interleave. A godly force, as mighty Zeus' thunder, Its power we harness, in awe and wonder. With each spoken word, a story unfolds, In rhythmic cadence, our art takes hold. To thee, O orator of KZbin's sphere, May these humble verses reach thy ear. In homage to thee, this rhyme we share, To celebrate language, a gift so rare.

I have found several channels very helpful in terms of the advice they give to have a good KZbin channel. You may already watch them. Video Creators (Tim Schmoyer), Think Media (Sean Cannell), and Primal Video (Justin Brown) are a few that have been very helpful. The amount of free, excellent advice they provide is really amazing. I essentially just follow their advice.

You're not wrong. But, I hope you read my whole response because there are still lots of educational reasons to use this as a practical guide to presenting/speaking publicly. It's a tough topic because I'm not advocating for the credibility of the original claims about research (which there are clear problems with). The main point of the video is to use this as a schema and practical way to engage our audiences during speeches. If we keep all three "learning styles" in mind, our presentation will be better for everybody. For example, the lack of visual aids is often a missed opportunity. Audiences LOVE visual aids (interesting images, diagrams, etc.). The same goes for well-crafted words and hands-on activities or any type of physical engagement. It's not so much that some learners _only_ engage with visual learning, etc. The point is that virtually ALL learners benefit from a well-rounded approach to engagement that involves a variety of teaching approaches. The variety of approaches enhances the overall experience. There is a growing body of research, for example, that shows the way various advances in accessibility technology (e.g., closed-caption subtitles, text-to-speech software, images + descriptions, etc) help virtually all learners. They were initially developed to help people with some sort of impairment (e.g., text-to-speech for people with visual impairments) but research has shown that many people who have no impairments at all still benefit from using text-to-speech features (I'm one of them!). That's true of every accessibility technology I've read about or used. They all help most people. All that said, while VAK isn't based on high-quality research and its claims are misguided, using VAK as a public speaking schema for audience engagement is still a good practical approach to enhancing all listeners' engagement across the board. And, I can speak from first-hand experience as a teacher, the class dynamic is enhanced in obvious ways when I have taken the extra time to use VAK as a starting place to prepare various ways to get my material across.
