I too am learning animation nowadays. And coming from a traditional artist bc, it's pretty steep a learning curve. I attempted learning Animate, got a slight hang of it and got really confused mid way. Gave it up. Then came along toon boom which is more user friendly but my tablet express keys didn't agree with the software and the software kept crashing on me. Also 'nodes' in toon boom felt like rocket science. Gave it up. Then I turned my attention to CSP, but it didnt feel as user friendly so gave it up. Blender had a steeeeep learning curve and my brain hurt trying to learn. Then I switched to procreate (not dreams), and my old 2016 ipad can still cough up animations but I wanted to stick to a software that can handle more complex animations with a better timeline. Set it aside. Finally after years of going back and forth, I have settled on Krita which has animation and drawing, has a lot more basic beginner friendly animation capabilities. Motion Tweening is 💩 in Krita but I hope they make it simpler in the future. For now, just learning some basic pose to pose and frame by frame animation.

I learned the very basics of animation at school about 10 years ago. I think we started with Flash before going to Adobe. Getting the hang of it and learning the programs takes its time. I think your first attempts look really good. Your ideas on what to animate are rally cute and deep too :3 just keep on going and have fun!

I animate in regular Procreate. I have Dreams, but without the features I want, I still prefer the original lol
