Yessss, even when you’re in a loving partnership- it’s still important to carve out time for yourself and take yourself out on dates n such. To be able to enjoy your own company is comforting and empowering.

I've been single again for about 3 years after a long term relationship ended. Initially my son (33) and Dilly, (daughter-in-law 41) used to drag me along to outings because they didn't want me to be lonely. I've been more lonely in a room full of people than on my own! It took them a while to realize that I enjoy my own company and have seen by my flourishing hobbies, that I'm okay with being on my own. I do truly appreciate their love & support and now they accept that when I turn down an invitation, it's because I'm okay and not hiding under the duvet in a state of despair 😊

Your videos are insanely refreshing man, I've been struggling a bit recently with overcoming what I guess would be a self diagnosed eating disorder and obsessively tracking macros etc to the point where it was/has controlled my life. Watching your videos and reminding myself the simplicities of life and seeing you just talk and be you has really helped me. I still very much like fitness and am always interested in other peoples routines, but moving away from the mindset of "you have to do this this this when you workout, do this much cardio etc" to just working out and eating healthy (most of the time) helps put my mind at ease.

It took me awhile to come to terms with loneliness. It is surprisingly how little we talk about it and because we don't talk about it, we don't know that it is normal to feel lonely. And it is only made worse when we see happy couples on social media. So glad you are talking about this despite being in a relationship.

I'm a pretty strong introvert, but after having a tough year last year and having to live alone and only see people outside (Canadian winters aren't the most forgiving for that) I'm having to learn not to be afraid of being alone now. It's a long, difficult process, but we're getting there!

Awesome video Joe, I also struggle with being alone and the persistent loneliness, but I've learned how to be comfortable enough to go to movies and restaurants etc by myself, which makes things easier! The independence fosters confidence, I think :) That lunch you had post-haircut looked amazing too, we're coming into Spring here in Australia so definitely wrong food for our weather but damn it looked good! 🍜

The title : exist Me an introvert : hmm I wonder As an introvert , I appreciate my time alone very very much , not that I hate people , it's just it took a lot of energy to just be 'friendly' and speak to people , so I need to recharge a lot by being alone , that's why I appreciate my time alone.. for me I don't need to go outside and make hundreds of friends just to be complete , for me I just need myself , family , siblings and few close besties

One of my problems is that reading a lot is part of my job but also my favourite hobby... Seperating the two is really hard. The amount of times I thought exactly what you said "Oh I could do more work"... I feel called out now. I think I might get into drawing. Your pictures look really nice. So does your food. I need to find a store that has veggie dumplings. Anyway, great video! I think it was a really good topic to talk about.

Hey. Just an FYI. It kinda looks like you got your piercings done with a piercing gun so be very aware of infections if that’s what you did. Hard to tell lol. There’s no real way to clean those and it’s a puncture wound vs an incision like with a tattoo shop needle which is also more sanitary. Just be mindful.

I got my first tattoo 27 years ago and it was just my last name, 島本, and they were just two 1 inch characters. My grandma saw my tiny tattoo on the lateral aspect of right deltoid and she asked me, “Are you in the yakuza now?!?” It’s probably a good thing she’s gone now ‘cause she’d probably hate that I’m covered in tatts, and my missing finger! LOL. Kidding about the missing finger, if you’ve ever seen a yakuza member, a lot of them are missing a finger as punishment.
