To All The Boys I've Loved Before is a movie we hadn't really thought much about until recently, but we thought it would be a great modern romance movie to do a movie reaction for, considering we've done a lot of older movies. We actually enjoyed it a lot and will definitely be doing reactions for the sequels down the line as well!

honestly i think this movie is perfectly done cheesy, typical teenage romance - annoying miscommunication and unexplainable feelings included. i really didn't expect to tear up when I first watched it, but their depictions of their families and parents, plus lara jean's love in fantasy but fear of intimacy in real life is extremely realistic and relatable.

The first movie was so great and you can tell because it has such great female gaze, but the last two were directed by a man and you can so tell and that is one of the reasons why I believe they fell flat. Because after I watched the last two sequels I was wondering why they didn’t have the same spark as the first one until I did my research and saw that the woman who directed the first movie didn’t direct the last two. The aesthetic and even how the characters were kind of visualized/presented was so different and it annoyed me.

48:48 The thing that makes her grudge stupid, at least for me is: 1. YOU'RE PLAYING SPIN THE BOTTLE, a probability game to see who will kiss, there's no guarantee that she would've kissed her crush anyway. 2. Obviously, that kiss meant nothing to Lara Jean, I'm pretty sure she forgot about it based on her confusion with "you kissed the boy that I like". 3. Yea Lara Jean kissed Peter when they were young, BUT SHE WAS THE ONE WHO ENDED UP WITH HER SO WHY IS SHE STILL HOLDING ON TO THE GRUDGE? SHE SHOULD'VE BEEN FOCUSING ON HER BOYFRIEND AND NOW HE'S WITH LARA JEAN. (I forgot that other girls name lol.)

It's so interesting how in the movie they enhanced character to have only like 1 main characterstic/personality. Like the Movie Peter is just a nice cool dude but the Book Peter is more complex, being more arrogant/prideful, and cared about what other's people thought of him. Movie Josh too is just confused and more like a brother to Lara Jean, but in the Book Josh actually had enough feelings for Lara Jean to kiss her. Way more of a love triangle in the book than movie.

I saw the movie first and really liked it, and then I read the books and was slightly disappointed. A lot of things are good in the books but book Lara Jean is closed off even more then in the movie, and book Peter is so arrogant it's insufferable at times, compared to the more charisma and charm he has in the movie. Book Kitty though is so much better and well built, and I love the Halloween scene and the trip they go to to buy the chairs and I wish those scenes were in the movie.

I think the hate for Noah Centineo comes from him being the teen heartthrob for a bit. Teen heartthrobs tend to get hated on because they're so popular: Justin Beiber, One Direction, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, etc. Also, people tend to get frustrated when a lot of people think an actor is attractive when they don't (which is bizarre).

This was the first movie of his that I saw and I loved him. Then I saw the others and was so disappointed. He is also considered a bit weird in real life by many, but that to me is fine, we are all different and I wouldn’t judge him for that, but it probably hasn’t helped with his reputation in the acting industry. I reckon he’s got decent acting skills for this type of movie if he picks the right ones. You can only do so much with bad writing.

i appreciate this reaction so much. i've seen other reactors do this movie, and the way they edit it and what they chose to react to make it seem as if it's on the same level of dumb as the kissing booth. i always thought that. that they were kind of one in the same. but seeing your reaction and seeing the movie with you through here, i realize just how good it is. i was even tearing up as they talked about their parents in the kitchen. it's not just some goofy little movie, though it has it's moments. it also has a lot of heart and i really appreciate that, and appreciate you going into it with an open attitude and showing us the parts of the film that make it special

@@araani8740 same!! i think a lot of the reactors i saw went into it with the approach of "lets make fun of this dumb teen movie" the budz go into movies with the attitude of "let's enjoy it for what it is" and i really like that. some cinical reactions are fun, but when it's dogging on a film mostly just because it's a teen movie and only because it's a teen movie, then that's no fun. i'm so glad i found these guys and this channel. their reactions are always the best and wholesome!
