I love the way Dec gives you tight peddles and doesn’t mention leaning against a wall or tree and then we can hear him laughing as you fall!!!! 😂😂😂 Well done Dec you are a legend! Cat, that has made my week!!! Best video since your fall into the ferns in Carrick!! I am still laughing 😂 😂

Loved your video! I’m still getting comfortable with clipless on my gravel bike and I could relate to so many things. I even screamed along with you when you fell as I would have totally done the same 😊 Going to practice the track stand exercises you did in the field as I think that would help me out a lot. Thank you!

Ah you can definitely do it!! Sending you lots of encouragement and support, they’re so worth it once you get comfortable on them, I wouldn’t go back now to flats! 🙌

Another tip is to sit on a table and dangle your legs to see what direction your feet naturally hang. Some people Hang left/right or straight ahead so you can adjust your cleat to compensate and make it easier to clip in and out. Sometimes one or two millimetres can make a big difference.

Nice work. I can get a better sense of what's actually involved... My intuition tells me I'd have more control of the bike with klicks but I've never tried. Borrowing a set was a good idea, Mrs! 🤟🏼🔥

Great stuff Cat fair play! Made the switch myself a few weeks back and haven't looked back. Few hairy moments initially, but find the clipless great now 👍

Oh it’s so scary initially!! I’m not looking forward to trying them in the wet, have been sticking to the flats on the e bike but will have to face it eventually! Glad to hear you don’t regret the switch thou cause I’ll keep at it. 😃

The worst thing that you can do is to have both feet clipped in when stationary. Only clip in the other foot when you are moving, and clip out your dominant foot before stopping. Lean towards your un-clipped foot as you come to a stop.

Thanks Andy, I’ve got the hang of it now thankfully. Love them now!!

Whats your favourite bike you’ve ridden and would you recommend it
@CatMTBPilot3 жыл бұрын
I am probably biased but my own Kenevo is my favourite bike, especially since I changed the brakes, I feel so much more confident on it since I put the Shimano XT brakes on it. And I would highly recommend it. As for analogue bikes you can’t beat the Orbea Rallon in my opinion. What’s your favourite?
@David-io1dn3 жыл бұрын
I m only new to mtb but my favourite bike is the trek slash 8 but I ride the canyon stoic 3

Try one flat and one clip with different shoes. Weird but works for me and one other old guy (Hans Ray) Between us we have won 6? national and international trials championships: I've won none. E=Mtb²

Well.. are you still riding flats?
@CatMTBPilot Жыл бұрын
Nope I’m riding clips since! Never went back, thou I had flats still on my Kenevo expert cause it’s quite heavy and I didn’t want to be clipped in if it all went south! 🤣
@Wannaridebikes3 жыл бұрын
Just get on pedal like you usally do and click your in. ….I don’t ride them. I ride flats. Because simply I dislike being stuck on as I fall
