Mate I’m learning to walk again after 4 years and everything is getting better and better but after seeing this you’ve gave me more inspiration
@richrichy30156 жыл бұрын
Wow...it's been only 3 months since I walked. I practiced on my crutches yesterday and it felt like I was gonna have a hard time. Trusting my foot is gonna be one of the biggest hurdles I think. I can't imagine 4 years and how hard that would seem.

Good on you bro. I had an injury in my spine 4 years ago. Barely any range of motion for a while. 2 years of therapies and then hard exercise. Yoga, and swimming really helped. Recently had a knee injury. Required surgery. That leg has been learning to walk recently. That first walk with crutches was agony, my left feet just scraping the floor. Everyday walking a bit easier, able to plant that leg more firmly into the ground. Today I stood on 2 feet, no crutches or rail or wall. Couldn't walk, but felt so good to just stand. Balancing. Events like these happen in our lives for a reason. They suck. But the compassion and understanding they imbue is enriching. . Growth causes pain. And pain causes growth. For anyone who feels trapped in the physical place they are right now. It can get better. It took me 3 years of being nearly in constant pain. And at the time I considered that time lost. My early twenties, lost to repairing my spinal health. Not many other young people understand. But had that never happened to me. I would have continued on the same mediocre path I was walking. You learn, during these times, that one of the most godly sacred words, is "Persevere"
@KevinRempel_4 жыл бұрын
Amen, Elyas. Keep that attitude up, forever. Don't let it go. I still have to work my ass off to this day to keep walking and minimize the daily pain and discomfort I live in. #Persevere

Hey Kevin, I'm sitting here on my steps exhausted and scared at the same time from all the muscle imbalances from my accident,when I came across this video. I was TBoned in my driver's door by a 87 full size tank (truck) vs my 19 outback. My injuries are not as extensive as yours here.. But the loss of function and struggle is real.. I just wanted to say Love You Man!! Very encouraging to see with PT and determination I will make it. 💪💪💪 Ty for the video. I hope your doing well.

Its been almost 5 months now since I broke my heel and I still can't walk comfortably...even though my doc said I'd be able to walk last month. It hurts so bad. My ankle is swelled and I don't know why(I didn't break my ankle). He said that its nerve damage, but since I work construction and didn't have insurance, I couldn't pay because I can't work to make money to pay. So I of course can't go back to the doc now. I'm worried something else might be wrong and they didn't catch it. I don't know if the swelling in my ankle is from nerve damage or what. I don't know if the swelling is what's causing the pain. The pain level is cutting it real close to not being able to walk period. I stay off of it on weekends to see if it will help what's wrong. It feels a lot better for a little bit but the pain always comes back. I started back work this week and just work through the pain because I have to. Have you ever heard of swelling lasting 4 going on 5 months?
@KevinRempel_5 жыл бұрын
Hey Richie, I'm sorry this is such a late reply... like, way too late. I wouldn't have had a solid answer regardless, other than going back to see a doctor. I'd need a specialist myself to diagnose that.
