This is what terrifies me. Everyone loves my designs, but I am a perfectionist and it prevents me. You weren’t being mean, it’s true. I have seen so many designs that are quite ugly and overdone, but they sell. It’s wild to me. I have even seen misspelled words on a shirt, that weren’t supposed to be misspelled…it wasn’t part of the joke, or a difference between a British vs American spelling, it was simply spelled wrong. Thanks Shimmy. Would like more videos about good vs bad designs. 😊

thank you! I will definitely do more videos like that. It's impossible to be a perfectionist in this industry.

@@shimmymorris1 I have seen many of your videos and you come across as a knowledgeable person but for this specific video I am not so sure. I haven't seen your shop and your design so perhaps you could have added a link to your own shop and also when criticizing a design (which is fine as long as it is constructive), maybe you could have done the effort of showing examples of how you would have done the design of each of them.

Man you are giving lots of good information, I really love the way you explain. But what i really want to know is that what niche to choose, you gave types of niches to choose but i still dont know what to choose, can you give brief explanation on how to select niches . It really help people like who don't know which one to select. (Can we design multiple niches like historical,wildlife , family at a time and list them?)

Good tips! Though, there's something not mentioned often about not just designs, but creative content in general. People are starting to catch on to quick, low effort, AI generated content. I don't even have 100 designs yet and none of them are "great", imo, but a few have sold relatively well. Those two? One is a heart made up of most country flags, manually arranged. The other is a similar idea, but with the word "Hello", translated into 100 languages, also manually arranged. They're not great designs by any means, but when someone looks at them, they can instantly tell there was quite some effort put into designing them. And, because no AI can make something like that (yet), they're also different from all the AI generated sludge on the market. Hence, the sales, probably.
@shimmymorris110 ай бұрын
Whilst you make a good point about A.I and one shouldn't rely on what it can create to get sales. I have found getting sales with good a.i designs more than possible. One of my best sellers at them moment has elements of A.I
@DesignPupsShop10 ай бұрын
@@shimmymorris1 Of course, there are some nice and good selling AI designs out there, I've sold quite a few too. But looking at my own sales, most of the obvious low effort ones don't sell at all. Either that, or the designs/design ideas themselves aren't good enough. I'll create more "non-AI" designs, where obvious effort is visible, and see how it goes.

Getting excited and just want to go for it. Thankyou for your time in reading this. Hopefully I'll get some feed back . Until then ill, keep watching your videos.

In a way this can build insecurity for a designer. "Is it perfect?" but to do a 1hour sketch you must be comfortable in making 10sek sketches to determine wich angles and elements expresses your emmotions the best to develope into the long game. So more practice to become perfectionist.
