1. Celebrate your location: show and let others know where you are 2. Camera movement: move camera for static objects, track moving objects 3. Short clips: 5 - 10 seconds enough for video editing 4. Creative transitions: make scenes transition natural 5. People: including people in the frame makes video more lively Very helpful 🎉

I’m a retired cameraman. What fun it would have been to have all these tools. I have a mirrorless camera but probably shoot most of my international/domestic travel videos on my iPhone. Steve, you do a bang up job in your presentations, very creative. It is like my golf game, I don’t play anymore but I enjoy watching well done, informative videos. 😅

All people need to further improve the footage is to clip on an ND filter to shoot at correct shutter speeds in 24fps and 60/120fps by doubling shutter speed of the frame rate. Always been one of my favourite channels, been watching for years

QUESTION!! Most of my travels are in less busy places. Small towns, wilderness, hiking, lakes....I'm thinking this type of 'flash' cinematic style while being very much in tune with the busy city vibe, would not lend itself to nature's more tranquil, quiet, relaxed mood. Do you think slightly longer clips would change the feel of this style to be more in tune with those kinds of shots? Looking for ways to create B-rolls of the scenes I encounter, without just panning or zooming in and out. Thanks a ton!!

I'm aiming for a cinematic feel with a 6x19 aspect ratio, but I’m worried about the editing challenges, especially when posting it across different platforms (FB, IG, TikTok, YT Shorts). Do you think it's better to stick with platform-specific aspect ratios, or is there a universal one that works well everywhere? Would love your thoughts!
@LearnOnlineVideo
@LearnOnlineVideo Ай бұрын
For the best results, shoot your videos in a platform-specific aspect ratio. If your video will only be used as a vertical format, shoot vertically. While you can shoot in 16:9 and repurpose those shots for vertical formats, it often compromises your framing and composition, which can detract from your video’s overall look and feel. I encounter this issue frequently. An alternative is to use a camera that allows you to decide the aspect ratio during editing. For instance, the Insta360 X4, which I used to shoot the behind-the-scenes footage for this video, lets you adjust the aspect ratio in post-production, making it incredibly useful for creating videos across multiple platforms. Hope this helps!
