@@kennethrobinson8369 I rather you connect the two tanks together by way of piping and ballvalves and use a single sensor in the tank that is at a lower elevation of the 2.... I have done this using 6 ×10000L tanks... works great. Another thing I would not tie a knot in my electrical cable as he did at the start of the video...instead wrap the plumbers tape around the required length on the sensor cable forming a bulge and then pull the weight onto it firmly.

The weight should be farther from the float to use the full capacity of the tank! Too close to the weight and they pump will turn on and off quicker. The float activates not at straight up or down but rather a 40 degree up and down angle; making the switch range also smaller. Move the weight to the middle and the hanging float closer to the bottom. If water demand is high, move the weight and float higher in the tank.

Sorry, but insulation tape is not waterproof. Should never be used outside where it gets wet. Minimum is you'll end up with a short or the pump not working. At the worst you'll end up with someone dead! Do a proper job and use a waterproof connector.

Sir, I have a water pump that needs to fill the water tank. The motor is used to run when the tank gets empty and stop when it gets full by means of a float switch. The water tank is approximately 400 meters away from the water pump. My question is, Can I use to extend the wire of the float switch from the water pump/controller to the water tank by 400 meters to fully automate the system? If so, what size and type of wire do I need to use? Thank you
