Have you ever tried rubber finger guards that fit onto the strings Armin, could these be used for thumb release?

I love the imperial Kheshig, a beautiful and still outstanding bow, you inspired me to use mine again soon! Prefer Alibow's deep hook ring though.

I just got a leather/brass hybrid. It is the best one I've tried yet but I'm still trying to get my form down so every shot isn't painful.

Hi Armin, 8:43 are you using top of bow handle grip as a arrow rest?

I've been trying to buy this thumb ring for a while on the etsy shop, but Neil's shop hasn't been open for a year - anyone know if he ever plans on taking new orders again?

thank you for another quality video! The thumb rings are very nice, but the bow is beautiful... what is it?

they last longer with a little linseed oil once in a while, plus arrows fly softer, especially with string twist.

I know this is off topic but I'm just getting back into archery after more that 15 years. I am going to be getting an Alibow Tatar 35lb bow just to get into the groove of archery and start thumb release. My issue is finding arrows I used o go to a club where they can help with all you need, and i was young and didn't think to much about anything besides shooting. I now living in a different state and there are very few archery shops around and most are about 80km away. All this build up to ask, If you have any pearls of wisdom about arrows for more traditional archery.

They're fantastic , obviously very well made, my concern would be regarding durability... the leather thumb rings i have wear quickly, the leather softens up and tears after a few months (but they are cheap rings)... my metal thumb rings are much tougher but I lose feel. Its better than bruising up my thumb though.

my friend Martin is using his one since months regularly, nothing

I have the 'Improved Version' from Neil and has been my daily driver since 2020, so I would say durability is a non-issue.

I wouldn't recommend a leather thumb ring at all, unless you just begin with thumb draw. Better invest in a well fitting thumb ring made of horn or metal (or plastic if you're unsure about sizing).

nothing wrong with leather as far as I am concerned
@Kersich86 Жыл бұрын
wow... that is expensive. i make myself pretty much the same ring out of leather for basically nothing. and i make heavy ones that you can use with above 50 pounds no problem. with double strips for a crisp release.

What kind of leather do you use? How thick?
@RoyMcAvoy Жыл бұрын
Amazingly expensive 😁 but it's good for those who can't use ring

Having Leather thumb ring, one should feels more connect with their Bow, and draw, instead having horn and metal.

77€ ? Domanda : è di pelle umana?

For the material and especially time it takes to make these, not a crazy price. The lower prices are the crazy ones! Also, that $77 is like $50 before the pandemic inflation...
