Leathercraft: "Tufted" Percussion Cap and Shot Pouch Black Powder Leatherworking

Crafting a leather pouch for lead ball and percussion cap tins. The rounded bottom makes getting those last balls out easy. In reality, I just wanted to try out a new stamp and this was the perfect medium for it. I've attempted this "tufting" look before with varying degrees of success, but this makes it a breeze.

That's a really neat project. Might have to try something like that soon. Just one thing I'd recommend based on my experience with wet molding for can shaped items. See if you like it. Cut a hole (finger sized and after its dried) in the side where the bottom of the can would sit. This allows you to use a finger to push the can up to grab it while still allowing the edges to come up past the halfway mark on the can to keep it locked in.

How did you match up the stitching holes on the gusset

I don't really do anything to align them. I just punch the holes in the gusset and give myself a bit of extra length. Cut off excess when I'm done.
