It took me $50 to learn my lesson, I had a guy beg me to order him pizza, he said there’s no food and he’s hungry (twice). I made him promise to pay me back and I lied saying I can’t pay my bills if you don’t pay me back, he didn’t pay me back, so he clearly cared about me... anyways then once we went out and I bought food but he sat there looking hungry so I bought him fries (good ones for $5) and when I asked him why he couldn’t say thankyou he was like “well anyone could’ve bought me fries..”. This coming from a guy who was begging to be with me because I was his 5th grade crush.. when I asked for the money back a month later he said “when you need it”. It was easy to leave him. I have no problem helping a friend in need but no he just tried to share my money and be controlling. I sent him $10 to buy some noodles if he’s really starving like that. He was fine. Never bought me anything, not even my chicken sandwich ($1) at McDonald’s the first time we hung out. Just don’t ever give money to guys unless it’s something you want to give, or you’re married and it’s a healthy relationship. Women really trying to buy love is too damn common for some reason.

But that's really irrelevant...The point is, as the father, he has a right to have contact with the child unless a family court judge says otherwise. That he could be so nonchalant about seeing a child he helped create is very telling of the type of person he is.

I’d hate my life so much if I was not only a single mother, but a single mother whose child’s father is like this guy. I don’t know how these women do it. I know a lot of people don’t have respect for these women, but I do. I’m exhausted as a mother to a toddler and my husband and I parent her totally equal (though she’s in the “only mommy all the time” stage, lol). I get why y’all would say that - but at the same time, put yourself in his position if you can. Most dads are that way when they have a new baby. I mean dads are looked at with a magnifying glass, when in SOME circumstances they’re a better parent to the child than the mother. Dads fighting for custody have such a low chance of getting 50/50 rights, if not full rights. So clearly the people who comment saying he should’ve just walked to court and got custody, be realistic. Something like that takes a lot of time, money, and cooperation from BOTH sides. So if one side doesn’t show up to a hearing one day, that’s another 6mo to a year of just waiting. I can completely understand why he got nervous and wasn’t sure what to do. Not only that, but the judge asked the cousin to let him see her, not hold her, so he was supposed to just reach out and grab the baby not knowing who was going to react in what way?
