When you're financially stable, Jamaica is a great option. You can live in the safer, cooler zones, children have access to the best schools, better socialisation etc etc etc.
@Di_and_I Жыл бұрын
Even the best schools in Jamaica can be an issue. Jamaica is still practicing corporal punishment, abuse from SOME teachers, and resentment when told not to hit our children. Jamaica nice to live, if your children are old enough to know abuse, tell parents, or stand up for themselves, as wicked things reach you, if you have no links in JA. Wickedness n bad mind, crime, antiquated ideologies, lack of other tools to deal with students, backwards thinking and lack of communication and resolution skills - killing Jamaica. Otherwise, living in Jamaica Irie if you're financially stable.

In regards to the skin tone and treating African American, she is correct . I have a friend who had leg pain so badly she couldn’t walk. She is a nurse and was at work. She went downstairs to the ER and they checked for blood clot and said she was fine . Two weeks later the leg was swollen and in severe pain. They refer her to a specialist. She called me up and came to see me. She walked in on crutches and was crying . This girl was born in Bahamas and was very darker skin, the minute I examined her foot I knew she had cellulitis. I put her on some steroids to reduce the inflammation, one antibiotic injection and she continued with oral antibiotics and some ibuprofen to reduce the pain , swelling and inflammation. In less than one week she was back to work and her normal self. I was very angry with the system for how she was treated because we were all trained to identify conditions in people of different skin tone . If she was of a lighter skin or a different race , the deep red would be seen on the skin. If you are dark, you can’t see it unless you are familiar in treating people of dark skin. But it’s food for thought.

Listen this interview was everything and hun I live in Canada and I’m about to make that big move back to Jamaica. Everything you spoke on especially education and the healthcare system is complete 100% the truth. I never felt happy in my soul in Canada and I never really understood my purpose living here. I think foreign is glamorized a lot and trust me if you have no support in these countries is a dead cause. I’m 100% Jamaican and I know I’m happier and I thrive in my own country. Omg it’s so much but I can’t wait to be back on my soil because Canada is not it right now in every aspect. Maybe our paths will cross when I get there but for everyone that wants to move back trust your gut and do what’s best for you. ❤
