Rania makes an excellent point. Most anti-imperialist leaders are not going to be Marxist-Leninists like Ho Chi Minh or Mao. What matters right now is liberation from imperial and settler colonial oppressors. If socialism comes later, it comes later -- and material conditions of each location will determine what it will look like. This is why dialectical materialism is so important.

Thanks for reiterating this. I don't think it's controversial at all to note that this kind of high-brow, doctrinaire sectarianism among western left perspectives is born purely of imperial privilege and myopic chauvinism. Just what you said, the point is to combat imperialism, to weaken, destabilize, threaten imperialist control. If we are foolish enough to withhold support from, and indeed sabotage, any and all revolutionary movements that fail to adopt a Marxist-Leninist line, our folly only serves to encourage imperialist aggression, and we'll be not an inch closer to achieving lasting gains OR convincing anyone of ML's practical efficacy. Asinine. Anyway. Thx again. It bothers me every day lol

@jirehla-ab1671 Many, many things are to be accomplished through non-violent channels of struggle. I would not, however, deny the use of violence out of principle. Some struggles will necessarily be waged with violence, against the violence of imperialism.
