How are you all going to criticize LeBron's character for saying something like this, which is not even arrogant whatsoever? You criticize his character JUST because he switched teams. HOWEVER, Kobe's character never gets questions even though he was accused of rape - I know he wasn't convicted, but the facts pointed toward it. MJ's character never gets questioned, even though he cheated on his wife and had nearly $57,000 of gambling debt. But, LeBron gets criticized for his character for making a comment like this. What..?
@strongereveryday230210 жыл бұрын
It isn't because he moved to Miami that people hate him. It is THE WAY he did it. He held an entire organization and city hostage because of his OWN shortcomings and failings as a leader. He screwed the team he played for for 7 years by waiting so long with that ridiculously douchebag "The Decision" that they had no time in free agency to do anything. People hate him because he is arrogant, pompous, selfish, feels like he is entitled to everything and thinks he is better than he really is. And outside of the LA morons NO ONE likes Kobe and never has. And Kobe's character is ALWAYS questioned...constantly, 24/7...with good reason. he's a classless douche just like LeBron. He's LeBron before LeBron...but still better than LeBron on the court. Jordan's affairs were never confirmed and actually completely refuted and disproven...and who cares if he gambles? it's his money and he had more than he could ever spend in his lifetime. it didn't harm him or bankrupt him did it? or even come minisculely close. $57,000 of gambling debt when the man was making hundreds of millions of dollars a year? seriously...thats like you losing a $1 bill while shopping. Seriously...close your mouth.
@natepallasigue320410 жыл бұрын
I have a right to open my mouth when I want to. Also, LeBron isn't classless. He's a much better character than Jordan or Bryant or Shaq ever were OFF the court. Sure, he made TWO bad mistakes but they were ONLY because he was young (The Decision, The celebration party). Also, the proceeds from the decision went to Boys and Girls Club. Michael Jordan's off-the-court character was always questioned. He himself felt he was entitled. The dude jumps ship to baseball, where he batted around .200 in the Minors. Meanwhile, everyone bashes the fuck out of LeBron for TWEETING a JOKE about playing in the NFL when he tweeted Adam Schefter "When's free agency" or something like that.He gets all the backlash for that. Okay. LeBron James is a great person off-the-court is my point. In regards to basketball, he came off as cocky those two times. Besides that and probably not shaking hands with the Magic players after he lost Game 6 in 2009 (which isn't a big deal tbh), he has never been "arrogant" or "cocky". If anything, he's just flaunting his stuff on the court which he has a right to do because he is the best basketball player in the world right now, and it's not a discussion. This is an off-the-court character thing.
@natepallasigue320410 жыл бұрын
Also, the man has never committed a crime. He's possible the most scrutinized and criticized athlete in history, yet he never goes around spitting on people for calling him a LeBitch (see Charles Barkley). If anything, he's too soft. He lets everyone off the hook. How is he arrogant? Come on.

@edwardquintana56674 жыл бұрын
I have the wrong teammates? Who won that series? Did you watch that series? If you did you would recall the key plays both those guys made in contributing to them beating the heat that year coming off the bench. I think you might have missed the point of my message which was it would be hard to overlook the performance of lebron in this losing series to Dallas when you consider if he is the GOAT. See what the numbers say for each game and overall for the series. One could argue he did not put all his effort into it or even quit down the stretch. Against Golden State he was all in and showed how great he is, even in the two series he lost to them. I do not know who you consider the GOAT Game12 but for me the effort a player puts in is significant in determining that, despite if they win or lose. The heat had the more talented team then Dallas yet they lost. That was according to Lebron himself. Remember when he went to Miami and said he would win “not one not 2 not 3 not 4 not 5 not 6 championships”.
@edwardquintana56674 жыл бұрын
What was your point of saying the wrong teammates? And those two players were unstoppable when it counted in that series weren’t they. And the rest of my comment was relevant to my original comment which you missed the point of.

Game 12 please read my original comment. Do you see the word unstoppable?
@edwardquintana56674 жыл бұрын
Dats a paddlin what exactly should I let go? Its like there is a reading comprehension epidemic out there. So when you say I should “let it go” do you mean I should forget the fact that lebron completely disappeared on the biggest stage when debating who the GOAT is? Read my original comment guy did I say because of his performance in that series lebron s whole career sucked and he is overrated? No of course I didn’t. And you are absolutely correct after that year we did see the best lebron. But like my original comment said it would be hard to overlook his performance in that series when you consider who the goat is. He had a game where he only scored 8 points in that series. Actually it is hard for me to overlook what he did in that series I cannot speak for you or anyone one else out there. I know lebron has no problem overlooking such a mediocre performance cause he called himself the goat on his hbo show years later. I could be wrong but I’m assuming you have forgotten how Lebron made such a spectacle of him going to Miami that off season with the show then bragging and saying he was going to win not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7 rings in Miami. Allot of the hate he was getting during this time and that news conference were from him doing that. Especially from Cleveland. But that is besides the point. Anyways thanks for your reply.
@edwardquintana56674 жыл бұрын
Game 12 what makes you think I’m mad. I think if you get upset from comments or replies being made on KZbin then you should take some time and consider what really is important in your life, just imagine how someone like this would react to something that happens in the real world. Are these the people who will follow you for miles out of there way on the road with road rage? It’s been so long since I posted this comment but in response to your reply, although you can interpret “you could not stop” and the word unstoppable as one in the same, when you look at the context of what I was saying, they are not the same meaning. If you raced a corvette vs a Toyota Prius iand the prius won because the driver of the corvette was not putting his full effort into that race would you say that Prius won because it was unstoppable? No You would think something was wrong with the corvette and might even critique the corvette by saying you friking could not stop a Toyota Prius. You f$#& could not stop JJ or Marion should be taken as you could not stop a back up point guard off the bench and Marion a player well past his prime off the bench as well. I haven’t reread my comment which I should but I believe I mention the characteristics those guys coming off the bench and what not. When you think of the career of those two guys have you once thought of them as “unstoppable” offensive superstars? Maybe Marion when he was with the suns. I never considered those guys to be unstoppable and a point I thought I was making clear in my comment was you guys lost and a reason why is you could not stop two players that are bench players which is surprising because Miami seemed to have more talent on their team that year. Let’s not forget that Miami went on to be in three straight finals after that winning back to back. What happened to Dallas after that. So it is possible Miami did have the better team but lost to daIlas ? I went on to say if you consider lebron as being the goat it would be hard to overlook that series loss. I assume you know how he performed in it and if not look it up. 8 points total for a game in the finals by a player of his caliber is puzzling would you agree? I really don’t understand what point your trying to make but hopefully this clears up things for you. Thanks for the reply.

Lebron maybe a NBA champion, but he doesn't have the character of a real champ and he is not a team leader like Dirk because he is not able to put the team above himself like Dirk always did. He is just worried about himself and acting like "What? It's not my fault that we lost." and not even looking very sad or disappointed about it. At least Wade showed some greatness in giving credit and acknowledging that the Mavs were the better team and that Dirk absolutely deserved this championship that year.

Sadly, Lebron himself seems to be a good analogy for this arrogant generation that doesnt take responsibility and makes excuses about their fuck ups, complain about what they've suffered and blames the people closest to them.

I have seen an evil under the sun: that millions of people who have never met and spoke with you a day in your life will attack and slander your name, person and character over a game, and then when you simply dismiss their noise... ...your response is arrogance.

Man, people just heard what they wanted to hear with this statement. What he said was that nothing really changes because the Heat lost. Lebron is still happy with himself, and he will have an opportunity to come back and do it again. He still has the family he loves, and he gets to enjoy the career that he loves. Cancer wasn't cured because he lost. People aren't suddenly rich because he lost. Everybody's problems are still the same even though he lost, so it's nothing to be happy about. Haters can't really see this though. I don't even like Lebron, and this is obvious to me.

7 years later. But on the flipside of your argument, he looks at his supports the same way too. Unless the "privilege" of rooting for lebron James is supposed to fill one with monetary and life success??

Not arrogance just addressing haters that hate for no reason at all
@mia-8214 Жыл бұрын
what he said was true tho. his haters will feel happiness for a day or a few weeks max but once it’s all said and done and they get back to the real world, they’re gonna have to deal with all their problems and the miserable life they have
@AlbertV904 жыл бұрын
The moment I saw the video of them mocking Dirk on the coughing, I knew that was it for the Heat and that came back to haunt them. It made them humble and gave them a reality check. I picked the Mavs to win anyway but that video was when I knew it was officially over for the Heat.
@jaredpyles554610 жыл бұрын
this is not arrogant at all. I think he is just explaining that his "haters" promoting hate towards him doesn't affect their daily lives, nor will it affect his. They will still have that personal problem, as he said, as they did the day before. He didn't say anything about wealth or fame or that he is better than anyone else. Imagine if you had to deal with the bs he received everyday. If anything, with the amount of built up frustration he had, that was humbling. cmon

This moment permanently disqualified LeBron from ever being in the same category as MJ forever. You can debate all you want about whether what he said was true. The facts are this is not what someone who has the heart of a champion would say.

Lebron James will always be remembered as the player who ruined the NBA. Can’t stick it out and grow w a team so he always had to jump ship and attempt to build a super team to get his meaningless rings. Dirks 1 ring is worth more than Lebron’s whole career and the Warriors built through draft picks other than Durant. Ah Lebron the front running, flopping, complaining, always take the easy road James.
