It's like nicknames, you can't decide your own, none of your friends will use it! LeBron saying "that's what made me the greatest of all time..." is quite possibly the cringiest and erroneous statement made by a sportsman...

Brazillian here, i can safely say that MJ elevated the NBA brand across the globe to what it is today, so all these players, including Lebron James, should be thankful for making that amount of money because of him.

@@user-ni1vt8nm4qHey guy! What he said was MJ elevated the game and the NBA worldwide. Yes Bird and Magic helped to popularize the sport with their epic rivalry, however, Jordan inspired people in so many ways...more ways than just picking up the basketball or any other sport and strived to be great like so many current and retired NBA players who confessed their fandom that les their drive that eventually les them into the league, ie; Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, Dwayne Wade, LeBron James, Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzki, to name a few. Here is a fact that was reported by Fortune Magazine among other publications in 1988; in the tenure of MJ's career, the Jordan effect (years it is a real phenomena that has been researched and studied) generated over $10 billion boosting the national economy, a value worth over $24 billion in today's money. It is no secret or wonder that MJ is the richest and first billionaire athlete in sports history. And he accomplished the vue of his effect simply by just playing and elevating his game progressively and organically throughout his career. The only athlete with the "Love of the Game!" Clause in his contact. Everything about him has been scrutinized with a microscope and is recorded as facts in sports history. His legacy is already there existed and existing. No other athlete comes close to his accomplishments in the 15 seasons he was in the league and in those 15 seasons he played all in 82 games in 9 of them and four with 80, 81,78 and 60, two of them he played only 17 & 18 due to season ending injury in his second year in 1985 and in his return after retirement in 94. He made a lot of money for a lot of people and donated over $100 million to charity more than he earned his whole career and donated more than what is known because of anonymity. People just need to be grateful for his contributions and stop tearing his legacy down to prop up theirs in vain!

@@user-ni1vt8nm4qMagic and Bird did save the NBA from bankruptcy…. But during their time, the NBA finals were still on tape delay and the league was dealing with a drug problem…..Jordan arrived to the league with a gold medal in hand by dismantling an NBA allstar team select squad with stars like Magic, bird and Isiah on it…He turned the world onto NBA basketball with his dazzling display of flight!….MJ turned Nike into a powerhouse and the NBA into what it is today! Wilt chamberlain even saw what he brought to the world…..he said that every NBA player in the league should give MJ 10% percent of their checks to him, he had that much of an influence! Most people were football fans then, i knew about the NBA but didn’t watch it religiously until i heard a man can fly, my mother just got a new brown cable box and I flipped through every channel until I saw a basketball game on WGN channel 18…I was mesmerized by a young man that was different from the other players, from then on I was watching every game I could. MJ started the shoe culture, advertising commercials became a trend, ticket sales went through the roof, the opposing teams fans started going to their favorite teams games so they can see Michael Jordan in person, the world was cheering for Jordan’s amazing gameplay. Jersey sales went through the roof, everyone bought basketball magazines, collectible cards, posters, vcr tapes like “Come Fly with Me “ The boring 80’s with their corduroy and plaid suits were done with and in came the stylish and colorful 90’s arrived!…I bet you never heard of Nike before MJ arrived on the scene, most of these young basketball fans don’t realize that it was Jordan that influenced their fathers into the sport, therefore, turning them into NBA fans!!!! Instead of always trying to disrespect Jordan and his era, why not just go look at his early days on KZbin and just be convinced that he’s THE GREATEST BASKETBALL PLAYER OF ALL TIME!!!!

I use a simple metric in comparisons between players: THE WATCHABILITY FACTOR. It was fun and exciting for me to watch MJ-23; it is painful and impossible to watch LJ-23, LeBrain is unwatchable, he’s so disgusting to watch that I gave up watching the nba!

MJ should sue that writer. He is insinuating and not even backing it up with actual facts. That type of slander is damaging to that billion dollar brand.
@clueless9245
@clueless9245 27 күн бұрын
It is not slander. The main reason is they are talking about something WRITTEN. Thus, we are speaking libel, if anything. The article makes it clear 6 home games were reviewed. A conclusion was drawn that some stats were not accurate. This is not golf, so MJ is not responsible for reporting his stats. I presume NBA hires stat keepers. That is who could sue for libel. Remember, libel requires printing something knowingly that harms someone's image, causing damages (usually financial). Why is the league not suing? Er, I doubt anyone believes every stat is 100% accurate. Thus, there is no false statement.

Another things he should have taken a look out are the freethrow discrepancy between lakers and other teams, the questionable awarding of assists to lebron.

Lol! All the math that I need is 6-0 in the finals vs 4-6 in the finals, plus 6 vs 4 finals MVPs, 5 MVPs of the regular season vs 4 MVPs, two dunk championships vs empty promises and lies, and a DPOY, vs 0! lol 😂

Thank you!!! You are absolutely correct! He went IN on Lebron with no evidence for not being at Kobe's funeral. And when it was shown that Lebron was in fact there, Charles never apologized!! If Haberstroh had done a deep dive that painted Lebron in a bad light, Charles would be eating it up! The level of confirmation bias and hypocrisy is unreal.

Basically this guy instead of doing actual analytics he already had it set in his mind to speak about a "discrepancy" between home steals vs away steals (not for a second thinking players might be more motivated to play at home) and falling into conspiracy territory because some vancouver stat keeper from the mid 90s said he was doing it for SAR. Basically this whole thing boils down to "vibes", truly bizarre.
