pretty interesting comments from lebron. its exactly like he describes in chess too. when you are playing a really good player they dont usually make spectacular game winning moves. its more like they force you into an uncomfortable position and keep you under pressure making you more and more uncomfortable until something collapses.

Pat Bev already talked about this. You don't study Steph all day before a game. You rest the entire day because when the game comes, You'll need to be in best shape. You'll get gassed out defending the man.
@jrsantoyo90282 ай бұрын
The warriors are the patriots of the nfl when Brady was with them. I’m a Bucs fan when he got to Tampa he made them a winning team. Steph is that type of guy. People want to play with him like they did with Brady.
@noahdaugherty82352 ай бұрын
Yep, it's a definitely a quality of his that I think gets overlooked. Steph being unselfish and humble helped get KD to the warriors ,which helped them win 2 more titles. And their overall unselfish style of ball def gets some old vets interested in joining them for cheap to see if they nab arl ring with Steph. Dude is so humble, and always been loyal to the Warriors. He also had that mega team friendly contract in the beginning of his career that helped jumpstart their dynasty for sure
@ShavonaHooperАй бұрын
I disagree because the Patriots cheated to win and everybody act like they was the best by being better and not because they had everybody’s private practices filmed to know what the teams were looking to do against them and knew how to counter it.

That was actually a really insightful clip. Most podcast clips, especially sports ones, say nothing in a lot of words. But you picked a good one. Really interesting comments from Bron.
@MulletMike2 ай бұрын
In this clip, what did you learn you didn’t already know?
@danielwilliams1732 ай бұрын
@@MulletMike I just said that it was insightful, though. I didn't say that it was so original that none of it has been thought of by anyone ever before. A few things in this clip were interesting, especially coming from Bron. First, hearing from Bron -- one of the Mt. Rushmore GOATS, one of the highest game IQs ever and someone who has faced Steph many times in the highest-stakes situations -- that Steph, the undisputed greatest shooter ever, is in fact most dangerous when he does not have the ball -- that is very interesting. Second, hearing Bron, who has seen the game evolve over 20+ seasons at the highest level, say that most of the best players in the league are too formulaic to adapt to creative offenses is a damning indictment of current NBA players. Third, hearing Bron say that the Warriors have maintained their success through ingenuity rather than just great shooting. Fourth, hearing Bron's deep and intricate appreciation of the nuances of the game never gets old and continually impresses me. All of this stuff was interesting to me.
@MulletMike2 ай бұрын
@@danielwilliams173 and you’ve never heard any of this before? Only difference is that it’s coming from him. Most of that you could’ve did the “eye test” to see. I would like to hear his feelings on the media pressure he’s faced, literally, his whole basketball life. Kobe had ‘Detail” now that was insightful.
@danielwilliams1732 ай бұрын
@@MulletMike Ok. But again, that's not what 'insightful' means. It means deep and nuanced understanding. It does not mean completely unprecedented in the entire history of human thought. Plenty of 'insightful' statements are mundane and unoriginal; in fact, that's true in most cases, especially with something like basketball. At this point, in 2024, after potentially millions of shows, articles, and discussions about basketball all day, every day, every year, if someone actually said something truly original about basketball, it would almost surely be wrong, simply b/c every true thing has already been said about basketball. And yeah, I would like to hear LeBron talk about media scrutiny too. That would be another opportunity for him to say something insightful, but even then, it won't be original, b/c again every true thing has already been said about that topic as well. (And yes, Kobe was great. (This is not a contest. We know he was capable of insight too).
@danielwilliams1732 ай бұрын
@@MulletMike Oh, and by the way, if you think Detail couldn't have been done just as well, and just as easily, by most NBA coaches, NBA scouts, and former NBA players, you're simply wrong. Lots of people can do an Xs and Os show. But it was cool to see an NBA great like Bryant show his understanding of the game (that's why you liked it), and now it's cool to see LeBron do the same, albeit a slightly different format. Only difference is that people form fan groups around some players (MJ, LeBron, Kareem, Kobe) and end up hating any player who might be perceived as equally good or better. (I really hate it when fans do that)

I’ve been saying that for yrs.. ppl think Steph’s biggest strength is his shooting just bcoz he’s the best shooter of all time, But in reality his biggest strength is his off the ball movement. The amount of gravity he creates on the floor by running around without the ball is insane! Which allows other players to open up for easy bucket. Steph’s stamina and ability to run around and quick release that’s what makes him so deadly and special!!

I'm not tryna go against Lebron and act like I know more. But imo it's better to say he's JUST AS good without the ball as he is with it. Cuz I get what he's saying, but his off the dribble and half court presence with the ball is just as scary as long as he's not double teamed. To say he's better without the ball sounds too discrediting to his ability to score with it in his hands.

He didn’t say better though, he said most dangerous. As in, he causing greater reactions from the defense with his movement, and Golden State’s offense is set up to take advantage of that
