Societal expectations and fear of rejection often hinder us from fully embracing our humanity. Today, I challenge the idea of isolation and emphasize the significance of being part of an authentic community.

My husband was abused physically and had cancer as a child, when i met him he stuttered so bad he could barely state his name. Today he speaks clearly, is cancer free, and a great father to both our children. The victory belongs to Jesus!!❤❤❤HES ALL I NEED!!!👍🏽🙋🏾‍♀💯✌🏾🙏🙏

This can be true in some cases, but if it were true as a general statement as it's put forward in the intro to this podcast, then throw out your Bible. The Bible cannot walk with a person and empathize with a person and be with a person in their suffering EXCEPT THROUGH ITS WISDOM. It's also a manipulative statement in that it assumes that anyone giving you wisdom is "hurling" it at you.

Hi Lecrae. Thanx for sharing your story, honest and unashamed! I'm a police officer from South Africa suffering from PTSD and depression. Your story ment so much for me as I was battling with the exact situation regarding religion and churches. I felt like I was the worst person, but I knew that Christ will pull me through. I started listening to your music as my daughter is a huge fan, and i'm so glad I did. Be blessed.

Alright lettsss goo, all these video have been fantastic. Everything he has spoken upon is having an impact on me and the others around me, I feel like church do need to get on the harder subjects to talk about for us as Christian to get a better understanding of all things and how to fight them. I have felt like mega church have become more like a routine schedule for Christians and there is not a much real connection as a smaller congregation would have. I wish we as Christians wouldn’t be so quick to judge or scared to talk about our real issues and problems we face whether we are with others or alone in secret. We just have to remember no matter what sin you have done it’s all equal in Gods eyes, just make sure we repent it with a full heart. It’s okay if we make mistakes, you just have to learn from it and know how to deal with it and make sure you don’t fall into that same pattern again. Love you all, and remember God is always listening to your prayers

A mega Church is different from a regular church. We don’t need to forsake the church or encourage others to forsake the church. Gathering outside the church should be extra not the replacement for gathering with the congregation and leaders of position
@BlancoFuego
@BlancoFuego 6 ай бұрын
I'm not saying, extracurricular gatherings should replace the mega churches, but that there needs to be more accountability on their end in transformation and a change of their approach to reaching the masses. They need to change their perspective from just gaining people to transforming people to transforming a generation to know what it means to think like with a Christian mindset to see the world through Christ eyes

I remember listening to your song "I'm praying for you" back in 2007, and it completely changed the trajectory of my life, and I'll be damned that I'm sitting here listening to you all these years later and what you've become. You understand contradiction and parables more than most people do. I'm not boasting in that fact, it's just a fact. I know when someone can discern things and is being honest with themselves. I appreciate what is tried and true only now. Godspeed Lecrae and to everyone else here wellness, health and clear conscious...◑

The truth in trying to be everyone anywhere is so true. I have struggled with finding those I confide in deeply, and the truth is it is VERY limited. There are only a few people with a background tht are shaky like mine. You can tell from the moment I make a joke about my broken past that some people are uncomfortable with it. They put on their Church Visors and avoid any negative talk. In truth, they come out looking like a salesman for a gospel that I have already accepted. This is not to say they are wrong but that it is a something we all struggle with. Thanks for advocating for this because it is truly something I have struggled with and to hear I'm not alone makes it even better that we are all connected by the Blood. Much love from the Midwest. 👊

I've been driven out of 2 evangelical churches for being authentically me. And when I say that I don't mean I showed up doing crazy stuff - just following the Lord's lead to use the gifts He gave me (hospitality and encouragement) and that was apparently too much for the leaders 🤷‍♀️. I appreciate your voice and sharing your suffering and in doing so - wisdom ♥️

Wow thank you for being so open and candid with all that you are saying as a person that has come from alot of abuse and poverty and alot of the many things you faced, you hit it right in the nose as to alot of the ways we tend to act towards certain situations and people and it is the first time I have ever heard anyone in my 45 years of existence ever verbalize it in a way that related to me and my background and I appreciate your words as it is nice to know someone really can relate as even when other people related to one or another areas nobody fully grasped in a real sense. As a Christian woman myself, God has definitely provided healing in alot of areas of my life and has helped me break alot of generational curses-all glory to the risen king! But there is always some areas that we struggle with and at certain points feel like what is wrong with me that I have these reactions even after seeing how much God has done for me and experience his presence so strongly in my life but it is not something that you necessarily ever feel comfortable or want to talk about. I pray that the Lord continue to heal you in every way. Thank you for your transparency! We need more of this in this world for sure!! God Bless to you and your family!

Much respect to Lacrea for being open, honest and calling us other christians out for hiding our faults as if we were born and always move purely. I will say though that people are different. Sometimes people really are a jovial, social, "Hi Good morning, how are you dear" type of person, that isn't always a mask. It is okay to struggle through certain sin(as long as our goal is to come into Yahweh's intention for us) but it's also okay to not have those particular struggles but need to keep ya pride in check, so...God bless you Lacrea and your family...may you be actualized more and more into the purpose, intention, peace and wealth (in all contexts) he has for you all.

In not hiding things about ourselves personally , by sharing our testimonies we share shared experiences i agree. however in gaining knowledge of the shared experiences that have been erased from history we stand open to blessings that have the potential to stop the existing generation and future generations from having to continue to share the same problems, just in a new time.

"People grow more from the suffering you share with them than the wisdom you hurl at them." Such a true statement and one that I am finding out for myself more and more. This is exactly why I listen to what you have to say, Lecrae. Moreso over the last, maybe 5 years than prior because you have gotten to be so much more free with sharing your humanity. Thank you so much to you and your team for compiling these episodes. They have been so helpful. And I don't know, but hearing you talk about your wife makes you that much more human and down to earth. It almost feels more relatable, and it has been good for me to hear you mention her as much and in the ways that you do. It's almost affirming in you sharing how much you love her just by mentioning her as often as you do. Thank you so much! It would be great to hear her perspective on some of the things you have shared about yourself in these conversations. Only if it's possible. Thank you again!
