Not so much a question on this derailleur but more so of the stock one on the xp 2.0, my bike won't really shift into 5th or 4th, there is just a clicking noise when i ride but no shifting. I'm new to self repair on bikes, and I unfortunately don't have any bike shops around that work on Lectric bikes, not even for something simple like a derailleur issue. Do you have any tips on anything I can try?

@@StoryoftheYear16 No problem, just know if you have shifting issues in the middle gears, it's a cable tension problem. Not a limiter screw problem. Use the barrel adjuster for this 👍

I am beginning to suffer from the onslaught of dementia, I've cycled, worked on & maintained my bikes for 55 yrs+, just the first 48 seconds of your video reminded me of which limiter screw was which, because for the utter life of me, I couldn't remember, afterwards it took me all of 1 or 2 minutes to reset my gearing. Thank you for a nice precise instructional video, it will definitely help others as well as progressively senile old coots like me.

oh i wonder if that's why my derailleur wasn't moving to the gear 1 or 2. i would have never guessed that the limits come like that out of the factory. Edit: no that wasn't it atleast fully. My hanger extender just sucks.

I just installed the freewheel and derailer and have a couple issues. It struggles to stay in 1st gear (I backed the low limiter out as far as I could and screwed in the B screw). It’s making noise as it goes through the derailer throughout all gears (I tried loosening and tightening the cable). Any suggestions? Thanks for the videos!

Sounds like a tension issue. Try backing out your barrel adjuster a little

Excellent video! I pulled my cable too tight at first, after going back to the start of your video and loosening the cable as you showed, everything worked out. NOTE to self: follow the directions. Thank you for the great video!

An informative watch! Looks like you've covered it in your other (Tourney) videos, but worth mentioning that if the adjustments above don't fix the shifting, need to check if derailleur hanger is bent or if gear cable is running smoothly in the housing - both cheap to fix. I'm interested in the derailleur guard on your bike. Does it make getting the rear QR wheel on and off difficult?

How much better is the Acera over the Tourney? As in, how noticeable is the shifting experience after the upgrade? Also, are any changes needed to the handlebar shifter itself?

How close should the derailleur and chain be to the wheel when its in 1st gear? I've seen 3-5 mm but that seems awful close to me. My wifes Xp 2.0 is about twice as far away from the wheel as mine and she has the stock tourney.

I changed the freewheel, it was fine for the first few days, now it seems like it lost grip on the pedals, before it felt heavy to pedal on the 7 now it seems that it got lighter and generates less power. Is there any adjustment I can make to "weigh" more?
