I played this tune over and over and over again at a jukebox while I was in a video game arcade back in the day. Led Zeppelin's music is based on old time American blues.

The one side to the other is called panning! ☺ Jimmy does use a violin bow on several songs! This one he uses a Theramin!!! Cool 1800s instrument!

Jimmy Page uses a cello bow on his guitar sometimes...

That was a violin bow JP was using on the guitar. He uses this technique on both dazed and confused and how many more times from the first album- its how he achieves the almost inexplicable sounds . It is definitely worth watching a live performance of these two tracks. The best live version of dazed and confused is the 30 minute version fromthe song remains the same film - Madison Square garden 1973. By then he had turned this into performance art. This is not available on you tube at the moment but you should keep an eye open for it. there are good versions live at Royal Abert hall 1970 and in London 1969. If you want to hear them doing amazing blues try Since i been lovin you MSG 1973 live performance and in my time of dying - maybe best to do a lyric video of the studio version first. Anyway we look forward to you doing the second album.

This is a cut down version that came out for online video about 10 years ago. It's kinda soulles in that way, cuts out the heart of the song. But hey, people that want to look cool and pretend they know what the fuck is up need to be satisfied. A cascade of clueless Zeppelin fans these days into an Isaac Newton triangle. Too much fashion, by those whom do not yet understand the ground upon which we are all born. Edit: There are things known in terms of what the human mind can perceive in it's normal function, and there are things known in terms of what the human mind can perceive in it's self thinking function, and then after that there are things can only be revealed by going so far under your self as to be beyond your conscious mind, such states by definition must include psychedelics without 33 years of meditation, because that is the only path under your conscious mind that is feasible. Once such an understanding is reached between the conscious mind and the subconscious mind, then, maybe, I might listen to what someone thinks they know about fucking Led Zeppelin. Until then, you're all fanboys who don't have a clue. And I really mean, you have no idea. Led Zeppelin are ancient before time, something that cannot be spoken by any tongue. the video is why this version is a good introduction to Led Zep if you haven't heard it before. It gives a quick taste of the sheer joy and exuberance of the band and gets new people interested in it. They then invariably go on to listen to studio versions. Thankyou for allowing us to thumbs up the video, thats really sweet of you, but who made you the arbiter? The rest of this is just pseudo intellectual babble and i'd just like to make sure that you realise you are not actually aleister crowley?

If the somewhat dogmatic seemingly authoritative tone disturbs you then I apologise but you must realise I am speaking from experience. I have been there, and I know. Have you? To call it intellectual babble would have to come from someone who knows what they are talking about, or at least so they would perhaps like it to appear. If you don't understand what is being discussed, you may move along and take your vain disdain with you. I must edit this again and say that you are correct in terms of introducing Led Zeppelin, that is very true you are right in what you say on that point, but that wasn't really what I was talking about but nonetheless you are correct yes. I still don't understand why people take an online moniker meant as a sign of something I like and interpret it as somebody who anyone would think they actually are, that's just ridiculous.
