TeshawnEdmonds now in Tokyo, she'll be able to do that in the olympics. Who knows, maybe by then she'll be fast enough in the 100 to try and add that.

So much Ledecky, so little time. I can't comprehend what her athletic peak will be like when she is already this elite in such a breadth of events (she might be there already, but I don't know about female aging curves at all. For men the peak is usually in their mid-to-late 20s). Cannot wait to see what she can do next year in Rio.

Wait a minute? Aren't distance freestyle swimmers supposed to dominate the 800m and 1500m races and NOT the speed freestyle distances? I was fortunate to see Janet Evans win in the 800 and 1500 but I NEVER imagined a distance swimmer could compete in a speed freestyle event until I saw Ledecky!

Evans also had the WR in the 400m for a while, but the 200 is serious speed compared to 800 and 1500. Ledecky's 200 times keep getting lower and lower every year (As of now, less than a second left to break the WR!) Can you imagine having the World Record in the 200, 400, 800, 1500 ? Damn! Not to mention she also swam the 100 in the 4 x 100 free relay in Rio and got one of the highest 100 splits. Damn!

Now that Ledecky is off to college with their smaller 25m pools i see Ledecky continuing to work on her speed in the 200m and 100m. I'd love to see her tackle something other then freestyle like maybe the 200m butterfly where i think she could become a real threat or the 400m IM.

atiboyful She's more of a freestyler now. She split 52.6 on the 4x100 free relay in Rio.
