This might sound crass, but I watched Any Samberg on Finding Your Roots where he talked about only wanting to do a show about uncovering his family history to fulfill his mother's lifelong dream of finding out where she's from. He showed such a deep, calm humanity, it was the first time I'd seen him not joke around for an extended period of time, and I immediately wanted to see him in a dramatic role. There was something deeply earnest about him that was incredibly magnetic.
