"Hello Lee, gear breaking on a shoot must be so frustrating! you kept your cool. Looks like a cheap fix, hope you get it sorted. If I got out of my armchair I'd have probably only taken one body, so that would have been the end of the shoot. The images are fine with that 55mm, and really contrasty with the red on, very effective! saying that my favourite is the !st image with the 6x17. Still trying to find some medium format stuff, you can go cheap and old, then youve got reliability issus, and newer , say a bronica sq series and you need your checkbook! Have got my eye on a Kowa super 66 at the mo. Cheers." Kev.

@@kevmoiz1718 Thankfully Steve at Chroma sent me a spare part so fixed that easily, waiting for a part for the Mamiya so should be an easy fix for that. That first shot was my favourite of the morning. Good luck with your search, it’s a minefield with second hand gear !!

I’ve had more than my share of broken bits and bobs. Luckily never anything too serious. I see you are using the Benro geared head. I had one but it just literally fell apart after about 6 months. The knobs just broke off in my hand. So I’m back to using my old Manfrotto 3 way head.

@@sophietucker1255 Luckily I’ve managed to fix the Chroma Six 17, Steve from chroma sent me some spares, easy fix thankfully. Waiting for a part now for the Mamiya but can still use it luckily. Yes I’ve had the Benro head for about 6 years now, never had an issue with that thankfully 😅

1st shot is lovely. I'd hang it on my wall and probably be happy with it for a long time. I liked it more than 2nd one. 6x17 is such a lovely format for subjects it works with. 1st and last 6x6 were to my taste too. Film licking reminded me about the refrex of licking the tab as usual and remembering instantly how bad some of the no-lick fuji glue tastes.😃

So frustrating when you are out for a good day of making pictures and your gear fails. As always, thanks for the videos.

Loving the 617s and the Mam's but not quite the one you struggled with the stone. Maybe a couple of inches further right to give the separation for me, a bugger on the breakages, I hope they fix easily!

@@Andrew.J.R.Simpson Thanks Andrew. Unfortunately I couldn’t get any further right, was right on the edge of the stone I was on 😬 Thankfully the breakages are all bit sorted, 617 was an easy fix and waiting for a part for the Mamiya

Did the rewind knob on the Chroma snap off or pull off? If the latter then there is a tiny grub screw inside the rewind knob that fastens it to the spindle - a simple repair with an Allen key. Happened to me in Glencoe this year - I now carry a small Allen key with me in my bag. Another interesting video - thank you

@@DaveInElland I had a film jam a while back and sheared the spindle in the knob. Steve at. Helms sent me some spare spindles so managed to fix it it now, a simple two minute fix thankfully

@@ducgerard2361 Thanks I’m happy you like that first image, it was my favourite, I tend to prefer the panoramic format but do like the option of 6x6. In terms of the mechanics the Mamiya is quirky but it is probably the same age as me if not older and not doing too badly. Managed to fix both cameras thankfully. The Chroma is going to suffer from some wear and tear due to the materials used but as it’s modular it’s easily fixed
