Very good topic to discuss. It should be reiterated Islam is neither left wing or right wing. Islam is Islam and is in it's own category. But we keep getting influenced by the left and right wings who try to dictate what Islam is or is not because Muslims have lost confidence in themselves and look towards the west for validation. I blame the loss of the Caliphate, the unifying factor for 1400 years, for that. This is Alhamdulillah changing as Muslims are rediscovering their heritage and their own civilizational uniqueness. I had always noticed that 'Conservatives' were also Liberal, but hadn't realized that was actually one of their founding priciples. @Curious Cat the American Constitution is a Constitution, not Legislation. It states how legislation ought to be carried out. The Constitution puts limits on what they can legislate, which the Judiciary has to test to see if the law is ‘Constitutional’. The ‘Executive’ (President) then has to sign it into law or use the veto power. It’s a system of checks and balances, with the Executive, legislature (House and Senate) and Judicial branches.

As the meme goes, the left & right wings are wings on the same bird. If you study even basic Kabbalah, as the occult teaches it, you'll start to see it everywhere in 'red' vs 'blue' politics. Like blue is 'Sephiroth', so-called 'angelic', and is the source realms of 'unity', where even gender is one. Hence the 'lgbt', 'we are all one', 'all religions are one, 'all people are one' etc diversity politics of the left wing Democrats. And red is the Qlippoth, where things get branched out and differentiated, 'selfish'. So 'demonic', domination, racism, rich dominating poor, etc. If some Muslims, let's say, were sabotaged by people who are into this stuff, you could in theory see over-accepting Sufis who are gay and accepting ALL diversity, and you also would see a dominating ISIS kind of Islam which fights war in a brutal way & take sex slaves as a form of domination and selfish lust (instead of trying to restore the natural order post-war to reintroduce women into a marriage-based society). But both as you can see leave holes for the truth. Like you're seeing only with one eye and not seeing depth perception. Each side is sorely lacking and so creates chaos. So with both sides comprised, shaytan can create his own order as he pleases. And we can see a clear overall trajectory of where society is going.

I am enriched having listened to this lecture. Thank you. These are subjects I have given much thought to. In my American opinion, the points on ideology categories are largely in agreement with my conclusions. To point out differences would be nit-picking. A statement on a side issue seems completely inaccurate though. The move toward women's' rights here in the US certainly does not make women arrogant nor does it make men arrogant in response. Those issues are part of normal political discourse here with strong beliefs for sure, but not arrogance. Arrogance is to "exaggerate one's own worth." We have a history here of White citizens claiming that Black Americans are arrogant who claim the right to vote, the right to an education of equal quality, the right to equal protection under the law. They were told that they should recognize their place and stay in it. They were told that they should concentrate on being righteous in life as they will be rewarded in heaven. The Muslim attitude toward women, as you describe it, rings with the same sound of cruel unfairness.

I specifically said at the end of my comment "middle-easterner" to differentiate between the religion and the culture! The content of this episode suggests that to stay true to your Islamic values is to reject both liberal and conservative values. I believe rejecting both, and walking on eggshells, even refusing to believe in concepts such as freedom of speech because it might be Haram to believe in, all that is worrisome and would lead to you living in the west isolating yourself from everyone and anyone that is not Muslim. The interviewee even suggested that "don't believe in freedom of speech, but try to use it to your benefit (with being very careful not to believe in it) and say "you guys believe in this concept, why are you not applying it" It's a long discussion that can take so many dimensions, but let's not forget the prophet's Hadith "Actions are judged my motives/intentions", if we truly apply this, then we would be able to be Muslims and still have a clear political stand in the west.

About 2 hours of haphazard and strongly biased descriptions of various ideologies, just to arrive at the presumptuous conclusion, that Islam can not be located within the spectrum of political ideologies. That is not the case. The academic way would have been to summarize the core values, goals, methods and general ideas of a society for each ideology and then make an objective comparison. This was not done here, because the result would show that the political ideology of Islam most closely resembles the ideology of fascism.

This weird meandering from Nietzsche to Traffic Lights to Peterson to Abortion and so and and so on is not by accident. It´s by design with the goal to diffuse the picture and divert attention as much as possible from an objective comparison. And of course to lay the foundation for the claim that it cannot be compared, that its outside the ideological spectrum. Now, I know there are various "variants" of Islam. But this channel often promotes the "original"-version, the salafi one, which I take as a reference. And if you would compare this religious ideology to the defining characteristics of fascism as compiled by f.e. Umberto Ecco ("google: umberto eco definition of fascism") and be as objective as possible in the process, it may not sound that ridiculous after all.

Islam is a religion not a political party. Islam is a religion based on 5 pillars of practice and 6 articles of faith. This religion including all its rules and ordainments was completed by Prophet Muhammad (SAW). There is no mention of traffic lights or speeding limits in Islam because traffic lights and speed limits pertain to wordly matters to be governed by worldly laws that are for humans to devise and enforce to all regardless of their religion, unlike Islamic laws which apply to Muslims only.
