A tactic used by Marxist agitators that is designed primarily to elicit a violent response, so that they can then justify cracking down on the people who they just provoked. This can be done in several ways, but most often involves minor assault and battery, getting in people's faces, yelling in their ears (both of those are forms of assault), destroying people's placards or banners or property etc. When they get a reaction, they immediately switch to playing the victim, often with great exaggeration, and as can be seen, if that does not work, they immediately switch back to the Mid Level Violence tactics, this time on the police officer. This is not some random unhinged person, this is a trained provocateur, someone who has specifically gone to this event in order to incite a violent response. These people are using violence and threats of violence to coerce the public into implementing their political agenda. I'm pretty sure there is a term that describes that sort of activity... maybe terrorism?
