The ending tiktok is wild we need that kind of dedication from every government. Respect for other races, respect for other cultures, respect for everyone. Even admitting wrong doing when it comes down to it and correcting it. ❤️

The hogwarts legacy thing reminded me of a like "games coming in 2023" video I watched where this random gamer man was like. So casually disgusted with hogwarts legacy. Like he didn't actually mention any of the like glaring antisemetic problems or anything like that but having a person who I think is a trusted opinion outside of the explicitly leftist gaming circle be like "honestly I'd skip this one, I don't think it's going to be good" was a fucking euphoric moment. Get their asses random guy on the internet

10:00 I absolutely hate the whole PR fantasy of 'I can separate the artist from their opinions' - Every time I see this written it's like they've copy pasted it from a PR representative trying to do damage control for whatever celebrity they're repping. By supporting the person, you are supporting their opinions, and with money in most mainstream cases - why is this such a hard concept to grasp?!
@Toasted.Pencils2 жыл бұрын
It’s probably used so frequently because we want to justify our interests! If we really enjoy somebody’s music but then find out that they’ve committed an awful crime; the music doesn’t change,,,, the person behind it does. And unfortunately our taste doesn’t always align with our morals. When people know that an artist is a shitty person they feel guilty for liking a song that originally brought them a lot of joy. Not trying to excuse any actions btw,, but adding a second POV can help expand perspectives!! :)

i agree with you, but i probably approach my thoughts differently so ill explain mine anyways. I feel like with JK rowling, her books are bad and awful. we all know the numerous problems with them, but in the case of harry potter in particular, i think theres a way to enjoy that series responsibly and irresponsibly. if you buy HER things, youre supporting an awful person, but if you write and read fanfics that AU it ten times over and are written by people who also acknowledge the problems with the books... jk rowling has no say over that :) SKKSKSKS thats just how i feel though. theres the problem of the fandom's existence making new fans buy the books and interact with rowling's products, but those people can just pirate things, thats what i did for FNAF lmao
@Toasted.Pencils Жыл бұрын
@@cloudbrooks dude I agree with you 100%!! I think you put the difference of expressing your love for a series through creativity with fandom content vs. actively supporting a really shitty author/artist (either financially or emotionally) into words perfectly! Thank you so much for your perspective :D

Really appreciate the one about Hogwarts Legacy, because although I love the idea of a free world Hogwarts and new Harry Potter vg, it’s not even close the pain and suffering that the trans community (and Jewish community) face on a daily basis. Hopefully there will be a healthy middle, like watching someone on KZbin play it, but I still feel yucky about that.

I love wheelchair videos My ex bf has severe POTS and they could barely move around. Everything they did had to be crutch or cane assisted. When I get older, I was wanting to start funding to get them a wheelchair but they’ve blocked me since then, so maybe not. They were a good person but I just depended on them emotionally too much. It’s actually a good thing they blocked me because I had to learn how to be more independent somehow. Plus they had a lot of mental health issues so it was for their health as well.

That's the thing, you can't have an entirely fascitic revolution. You must have a small fascitic minority and a complacent majority. But that's not a left vs right, necessarily. More like liberalism or anarchism vs totalitarianism.
