6.0 POWERSTROKE RADIATOR REPLACEMENT! ALL ALUMINIUM!

This video I do a step by process of the replacing the radiator on your 6.0 powerstroke turbo diesel. These radiators like to fail where the plastic end caps crimp to the core. In this particular video the top cap had cracked resulting in a coolant leak. No better time to upgrade to an all aluminum design for a lifetime of service.

Thx for this video. It was super helpful and made my life easier. I was driving from NC to FL yesterday to sell my 6.0 and 2 hours in, radiator took a leak so I had it towed back to NC and got this done in no time.

Another excellent video! Looks sweet, dude. Still blows my mind you pulled that engine and rebuilt it like no big deal, very cool. I actually did my own injectors and glow plugs, harnesses few weeks back after watching your videos and diesel tech Ron’s. Only thing is I wish I had known the thump I hear coming from my air cleaner when it idles is bad or worn rockers. Going back to replace those in next few weeks along with new bridges. Keep the cool videos coming, much appreciated.

just did my 2003 (september birth) 6.0. that rad must have been original. It' didn't have the plastic retaining caps. Just the thread in adapter then the lines thread into that. My new mishimoto is doing it's job. regular driving in 36 degrees (Ithink thas 10,000 fahrenheit) gave me a 3 degree delta. Then pulled a few hills with a half load Ish and the heat exchanging was no more than 10 degrees. In short, thanks for the amazing work you do to share your skills in and about the barn. Peace

Ok... good video, but if you've already bought your Mishimoto, then fast forward to 6:20, where the work actually begins. Then the info about not having to pop the lines out is golden. Had the same crack in mine a few years back on family vacation. Quite the easy replacement did it in a speedway parking lot haha . Love the video keep it up

Great video and thanks for showing how to make this easy because I am wanting to upgrade mine since she is getting some years and miles on her when i replace the hoses soon. One thing extra I am going to do which I do restoring vehicles and that is to flush out your new radiator. I know its new and all but I have seen some stuff come out of them before. just a helpful tip. Great video!!!!!!

@@KF422TX Yea so far mine has ran good. And my truck isn't stock. I run custom tunes bigger turbo, Injectors. So I get on it from time to time. Now towing I can't speak on that because I haven't done it yet with this radiator

What kind of coolant are you using? It has a reddish tint to it. I thought the recommended coolant was the Premium Gold… I just want to make sure that I’m using the latest and best for my 6.0 as we all know the oil coolers are problematic. Thanks!

have you swapped trans pans up to the 6.4L pan and better filter? pretty cheap upgrade to do and you get Much improved filtration. filter is the Motorcraft FT180 and the pan is slightly deeper . I'm sure you know all of this already. and you can delete the toilet paper roll bypass filter.

The 6.4 filter can be used on the 03-07 pans I believe. Warren diesel I know will install upgraded filters with stock pans and they recommend keeping the toilet paper filter in place for added filtration. A deeper upgraded pan is definitely better but not necessary. (Just my 2 cents)

Hi there I am a 6.0 owner bought my teuck second hand had a new 6.0 installed and love it. However, there are other issues and I am trying to figure out how to repair and was wondering if you do consultations or assist in repairs. My engine mechanic doesn't do steering work and the other mechanic I have has had too many issues come up been trying to get to fix my stuff for 6 mo ths paid up front and bought parts and just want to finish and drive my baby!

The owner of a Diesel Performance shop in BREMMEN OHIO told me that the all aluminum MISHIMOTO Radiator’s were junk. After his mechanic broke mine. He says that the f350 front end has to much Flex and that the all aluminum MISHIMOTO radiator’s break - crack because of the flex. I didn’t agree with him & he had to put not 1 but 2 new radiator’s in my truck for free. No they were not MISHIMOTO radiators he wouldn’t pay for them. He is wrong MISHIMOTO makes a great radiator.

I was toils by NATE BAYLOR OF UNLIMITED DIESEL PERFORMANCE that These radiators were junk. I don’t believe NATE BAYLOR I think he is wrong and that these radiators are great.
