21:30 I don't get, in court it's to find weather the person is guilty or not, that person just admitted it without any resistance, so what's the problem? just charge him for that one and carry on with the other not guilty one to confirm guilt.

Usually it's because the Jury needs to remain impartial, and he was probably supposed to say "not guilty" because that's the whole reason that they are all there. It gives the jury a bias now, and a biased jury is "poisoned" and usually must be replaced. At least that's my basic understanding of it. In short, he switched his plea and that's a no-no.

You’re right about that much, however, there are a lot of steps that have to happen before a case goes to trial. Meeting with lawyers, pre-trials, depositions, jury selection, and THEN trial. What happened here, that wasn’t properly explained, is that from the start, the defense was pleading innocence and “not guilty.” So, the lawyers on both sides go through TONS of steps and hours of work, including that of at least one judge and an entire selection of jury members. Effectively wasting a crap ton of tax payer money, not to mention the money wasted to retain lawyers on both sides. What should have happened is that the defense should have pleaded guilty to the one count of assault WAYYYYYY before all this, from the beginning. It’s true that it’s better to be honest, but you have to be honest from the beginning. Making the guy a total asshole and idiot.

The problem is that everything has to go according the procedure. So if the defendant says "I'm guilty" and then next day he changes his mind and says "I was just kidding, I am not guilty" then what do you do? Part of reason that you have to go through the proper process is so that the defendant pleads guilty knowing all of the evidence and the consequences. If you don't go through the right process, then and it turns out that someone lied to the defendant about the consequences, you have a problem. For example, when the defendant pleads guilty, you have to have things set up so that you can tell that the defendant is not on drugs.

In the evidence destruction case, fining a giant company thousands of dollars is like fining an average person $20. Thousands is just a rounding error...

is it really poisoning the jury or just speaking his mind, i mean if it was really poisoning the judge or the defense layer would have ask for change of jury or to not take into considerarion the comment.

It's not about the case. It's about sending a message.

The title of this video is "elite" lawyers ruining an easy case. Story one did not involve an elite lawyer. It was a case of a pro se defendant representing himself. How does that fit the theme? Story two was about a plaintiff lying in court. There was nothing about his lawyer being "elite." So, that one doesn't fit, either. Story three, teenager with a lead foot. The prosecutor offered a driver's ed class in lieu of revoking his license. Lucky break for the kid, but where's the "elite" lawyer messing up the case? I stopped watching the video at this point. I hate clickbait.
