I’m from a very small, backwoods town in Alabama, my family has always lived here. Back in the 80’s a girl at my mom’s high school was the first girl at the school to have a black boyfriend. One day she got out of school and found black roses in her car. Weird, sure, but at the time she thought nothing of it. Well the same night, her family woke up to a cross being burned in their front yard. The @ klan had done it, cross burnings were a big thing back then. I think they went on to get married and have kids, I’ll have to clarify with my mom later. But long story short, my small town (really the slightly larger town, Auburn/Opelika 5 minutes away, but still where we all go to do everything) just had our very first LGBTQ+ Pride parade last year as well as our first Black Lives Matter parade. Our local drag community was able to ride on a float at the local Christmas parade. Long story short, America is progressing, even some of the backwoods areas are slowly but surely climbing out of some of the horror they used to hold within their borders. America as a whole is becoming more progressive and I’m so happy about it.

@@MichaelVileleagueofintrigue I have a hunch, and that's all it is, that not only did "a friend" buy the gun for him, but there are websites he visited, other influences from organized groups etc. If you haven't read Rachael Maddow's latest post, look for it in KZbin. The way to really hurt these groups is after the criminal trial, go after each and everyone of them and financially break their backs. We need to form groups of our own, to do the research on groups that surface during an investigation and really dig for information. A lot of PDs are undermanned and underfunded to do this kind of research. I believe there are a lot of younger people out there with phenomenal computer skills who could offer assistance...maybe not funded at first, but likely later on. We need to show the racists and white supremacists who the big boys they want to play with really are, without violence or big displays of guns etc. Just intelligence and awesome computer skills.

As the most interviewed ex-cops in Missouri history after the Michael Brown killing; I want to say that this is one of the best reports that I have ever seen on the white supremacist problem and a sensible effective deterrent to its growth. I remember one time in police recurrent training and we were told there were about a hundred hate groups groups in the United States. In that training they stated that the top man at that time lived in San Francisco. The business headquarters was in or near St. Peters Missouri, the recruitment efforts headquarters was in St Ann Missouri. They printed their publications out of Indianapolis Indiana. They also stated that a lot of their training was done in the rural areas in Southwest Missouri. As you gave the report out about the all-white jury finding a Klan guilty, it even helps me who had begun to view a vast majority of white people as a active problem or as a quiet go along with the problem. So, thanks for helping me as well to gain a little more faith and what some white people will do. I have always say it and I do frequently remind black people that the most astounding true Fighter for the rights of black people was General Ulysses S Grant.
