The security is the Secret Service. I'm also pretty sure although they will give their life for a President, like most federal agencies I'm pretty sure their service oath is to the Constitution and the people of the USA not the President nor Congress. I know for certain that the military service oath is to the Constitution and Citizens of the United States of America, they are also trained to disregard unlawful orders. Individuals might side with Trump, most will follow their oaths and training.

The logistics, coordination, planning, and leverage required to actually pull off a coup in the US is far beyond orangey's reach. He doesn't have military support as a whole, he almost certainly won't have the support of the Secret Service, and he would need to plan for every possible scenario, counterattacks by US loyalists, the sheer number of guns in the nation, supply chains, and more. He can cause a lot of chaos, certainly. But he's going to leave office one way or another.

As I understand it, the White House staff is packing up the President while he is at the ceremony. All his stuff is in the moving van when the new President arrives. The White House is not the President's personal staff, he did not bring them in from Mar-A-Lago or the Trump tower. The staff has gone through may peaceful transfers of power. The Vice-Presidential mansion is cleaned out in a similar manner. If the tantrum continues beyond the speeches, the new President may turn around and give a lawful order to the senior officers of the military. The President is the official grantor of the commissions of all officers in the United States military.

I'm more worried about the possibility of him not being arrested for squatting. I mean, think about it for a moment. The white house isn't just the president's place of work, it's also where he lives. Normally to make someone leave a house they live in you have to evict them, but we are in a pandemic that has eviction protections. I'm very much disappointed that this video never wants address that topic because eviction is exactly what it takes to remove a squatter. I'm not a trump supporter at all, but I do support the equal protection of the law and I'm not certain that it would be legal to escort Trump off the premises unless he was evicted first.

Reducing it is good, but actually paying it off in full would collapse multiple national economies for the most part, countries don't actually pay each other in money - they just trade their debt around. So we're, you know... X billion dollars in debt to france or whoever, but then france is also Y billion dollars in debt to the US - and we don't just cancel the values out and pay the difference, because making those numbers bigger or smaller is how we conduct international trade with them on a federal level (as opposed to a private one, which _does_ use normal money)

@@IceMetalPunk Secret Service follows the laws and rules of this nation, not the autocratic word of a wannabe dictator. Remember, Trump doesn't even have the majority support of the military anymore. I doubt he has the support of the Secret Service. And if it's going to come down to Secret Service vs Military, who do you think the Secret Service is going to stand along side of? Their brothers in arms who put their lives on the line every day; not someone who thinks of them as "suckers and losers", and who is breaking the law.

@@gymkhanadog They *should* follow the laws instead of Trump's word, but that doesn't mean they will. I honestly have no idea how many of them would or wouldn't violate the law to support Trump, but I wouldn't be surprised in any case. Remember that many Nazis were upstanding citizens until they started following orders from someone who made them grand promises. We know from history and psychology that it's certainly possible for otherwise rational and good people to drag themselves into the mud on someone else's delusions of grandeur.
