Callahan was one of the best I've seen. That kid is going places. He is exactly the second Callahan who delivered "whip your way to tighter buns" in that perfectly uptight way. Very funny. Paulette was epic during Bend and Snap. Elle's definitely a smart cookie as a singer, wasn't pushing herself too hard with the belts--as is very wise, when this role is a marathon and not a sprint. She saved it for when it mattered. She also wasn't imitating Laura Bell Bundy, and make the part her own. Maybe more like Reese Witherspoon, even. Vivian's G# was a triumph. I haven't heard many her age who can mix like that, but I also loved how she had the mannerisms of that sort of type A personality down so well. Carlos, of all roles, absolutely stole the entire stage during his solo. That Paulette/Kyle aerial was unironically fantastic, and I'm glad it got cheers instead of laughter. Emmett is a hard role for a high schooler, and this young man was excellent. Warner can have similar issues, with the higher range of "Serious," but this kid made it sound easy. Loved the twist with Emmett also having an engagement ring he pulls out after Elle proposes.

Alot of comments here praising the fantastic cast, however I think special praise also needs to be given to the extremely enthusiatic audience that really enhances the already hyperactive energy inherent to this show.

This was of of the best high school productions I´ve seen! Especially the choreography, I mean Whipped into shape was as impressive in this production as in the "real" Broadway show in my opinion. Good job to everybody who was involved!

Callahan? Brilliant Vivian? Fantastic Elle? Incredible! Seriously, what a cast. This girl got the role of Elle so down. The mannerism, even the way lines were sung, just brilliant. Ive watched so many people do this show and this is by fsr my top version. These kids are for sure going places.

STOPP this is genuinely one of THE best ones I've seen. I literally have a playlist with 50 jr/high school/community theatre versions saved and this is deffo up there alongside the Summit HS and Syosset HS ones. Both vocal and acting choices slayed and I love the touch that Emmett had a ring on him in the end too. Incredible 😭💞

I have been watching so many Legally Blonde show's on youtube these past few days and this is probably one of the best I've seen! Only second to the original, if not, I did enjoy this much more. The talent here is astonishing- as a highschooler myself I can only hope I could perform as well as you all did. I wish I was there to see it live!

Callahan was so good!! The delivery leave me speechless! The production itself is amazing! I just finished highschool a couple months ago but in my country, musical theatre is almost non-existent, either way I couldn't being able to do this in my highschool year!! This is amazing!! Wow👏🏽👏🏽

God I need to start writing down what I love about this because THERE IS JUST SO MUCH! First of all, all of these actors seem like perfect choices for their roles! They are truly brining their 100%! Best highschool production of practically anything I've seen! A thing that I haven't seen many other people comment on though: I really started noticing during Blood In The Water, but even the background characters are amazing! Like, if I pick out someone from the crowd, I can believe that that student right there has a story that would be just as compelling as the one we're shown! Bravo!

Yikes to the person who thought amateur theatre needed to cast out the box, a non blonde Elle, a girl in a black bob, various bad accessories and party wigs that distracted from excellent acting
@nele18572 ай бұрын
i think its more casting who has more talent
@alexvacc2 ай бұрын
Totally fair! I actually am blonde, but just a little darker than the wig! Our Vivienne was in a wig because there is a line where Elle says she has a "mousy brown bob". Paulette, Callahan, and Warner were also in wigs that made them look great! They were all made by a professional who works with wigs all over the place in regional theatres and more. His name is Derek Alfano and he is incredible! He handmakes all the wigs, and cares for them so well! We used the wigs to enhance the production like so many Broadway and professional theatres do!
@dsmproductionsofficial131Ай бұрын
@@alexvacc well I see Elle more datk blonde than platinum, it’s wig overkill if they won’t be natural, they are detectable and how hard is it in that case to fume a actor with the right hair, plus bobs on college students who writes this inaccurate drivel
