Calamity Ganon was greatISH (it was a BIT easy not very, sort of medium) because there were numerous attacks, but I did it 2nd try. Dark Beast Ganon in BotW was VERY DISSAPOINTING You gallop on a horse dodging slow laser beams and hit the beast 9 times and YOU WIN.

No one has said anything about this but you can use the bow on Ganon a few times, until he forces you to go wolf form since he'll go into portals to dodge the arrows. (Yeah posted in 2019)

Funnily enough when I got to this boss years ago I actually started the fight using ball and chain since I saw it as my heaviest weapon. Ended up having to Google what to do when he started teleport dodging. Major face palm when I realized I was supposed to use wolf Link for later part of the fight. Didn't think to try arrows either until rematch.

Use Hylian Link for the first parts of the battle to remove monotony (Ganon will stop falling for the arrow strategy after twice), and switch to Hylian Link after toppling him over as Wolf Link to end the fight in three rounds (the Master Sword is a lot more powerful than your teeth).

The entire boss fight was incredibly enjoyable. You start out playing tennis with puppet Zelda, then you have a strength contest with beast ganon, then you have to outride ganon, then finally you have a traditional sword fight against him.

Ganon must have been furious about his control over Zelda being wrenched so easily after a game of magic volleyball, a game he and a Phantom Version of himself were never good at to begin with. And so that very outrage gets translated as him turning into a prowling beast who is consumed with only one desire: killing Link and Midna, though acting on such a primal and primitive instinct ends up making him clumsy and sloppy and reckless in his attack. Explaining of course why it is so easy for Link and Midna to strategically send him on his back.

I kind of wish wolf Link got bigger as the game progressed. Would have certainly made for some more interesting combat with monsters and make people calling wolf link a “beast” more understandable. Odd place to write this comment but I don't know how to feel about Miyazaki, even if he doesn't take from Zelda games his dev team sure as hell does. And if he does or his team does. He sure as hell will not give credit. Like this arena is literally fucking O&S. The entire dlc in Prepare to Die takes from twilight princess, and it tells it's story literally. If he is truly in charge of all story elements and art direction then he is not giving credit where it is due. Elden Ring takes so much from BOTW it's uncanny, yet crickets, am sure stating your game draws inspissation from another is no grounds for copyright infringement. So either this fella is a petty intellectual thief or he is nowhere near as involved as people think.
