Angel is a certified bronx legend and his lechon is literally the best i've ever had. That man loves his South Bronx community and welcomes anyone and everyone from anywhere, with open arms and treats you like family even off camera. He feeds the homeless, the elderly and little kids free of charge and hands out empanadas to people waiting on his long line. He even throws block parties in the summer and invites everybody and they mother to come out, eat and have a good time.

The Lechon place is my favorite spot to hit up on Saturday. It’s also a very festive atmosphere whenever I go there. Any time I see cars with out of state plates , I know it’s people who are not local. People come from far out to try the lechon. The Mojito ( that garlic paste) is an amazing topping that goes with everything! Gonna check out the other locations you suggest later on! By the way, you are really buff for a hardcore foodie! 🥘

Mike first of all Happy Memorial day. Angel's roast pork is a thing of legend. He is a beast when it comes to cooking and he's been there for years. I use to do a lot of plumbing work in the South Bronxs. Me and my helper use to eat from Angel's stand almost everyday. There also use to be an Spanish seafood restaurant right on Webster Ave by the cross Bronxs expwy across from Webster Ave plumbing Supply. If its still there you need to try them out. Their food is amazing and their seafood soup is out of this world.

Angel is a king among men, and his lechón and pulpo are both otherworldly. Also good to hear Ismael Rivera blasting while they were enjoying the food.

I love Jesse's "tool belt", with plastic forks etc. It looks like a day in food heaven. Your Italian sandwich "ba jing" was perfect. And, yeah, mouth owies are a hazard of the job. It's always fun to explore more around the place you actually live. Be a tourist in your own state/town/city...experience things are a "visitor". (Your fridge magnet collection is very admirable!)
