I finally saw the Stones live on the first leg of the No Filter tour right before COVID. Now I’m so extra glad I did. Charlie was fabulous.

The Stones were supposed to be in St Louis last year in June. I got my ticket in the mail on a Monday. The next day, it was all over the media that concert had been postponed because of Covid-19. It just felt like my heart 💔 in dozen pieces. Now they are coming next month. With or without Charlie Watts, I'm going to get to see them one last time before we all go to the concert in the heavens. RIP CHARLIE. WE LOVE YOU.

@@deborahmiller4377 Honestly, the first thing we did after hearing the news was buy good tickets for the last show in Austin, 13 hours away from us. I’ve never been a “this could be the last tour” person, but this time I think it really could be it.

Absolutely loved Charlie , for not only for his talent but also for his fortitude. He was probably the only person in this kind industry to stay faithful to his wife & his convictions! Remarkable! His death is our loss in so many ways!!! Rest in peace Charlie. Love you & your work!

I remember my sponsor calling me and asking me if I wanted to go see The Stones. He knew I loved The Stones. My reply was, " The Rolling Stones, they're here. In concert "! He replied, " Yup, you wanna go ". " Of course ". It was a via Live Broadcast at a movie theater back in 2006. He chuckled hard when we pulled into the mall. I still loved it. So many different and wonderful memories with The Stones. Thank you. *RIP* _Charlie boy_

Brian founded the Stones. He was responsible for bringing in Bill, Charlie, and pianist Ian Stewart (Stu). Stu was later booted from the performing line-up since manager Andrew Loog Oldham thought he was too old (he was in his early 30s) and would take away the band's appeal to teen birds. However Stu was always in the studio and kept the band solidly grounded in the Blues.

*You forgot 'Ian Stewart'...he and Brian Jones were 'the First Two' BEFORE Keith's audition* ( *'Mick' was 'allowed in; because Richards insisted on it, saying "We don't have a singer and we can't get any gigs without a singer...he stays OR I GO!"* ) *Michael Phillip Jagger was allowed...very grudgingly...to stay...on 'probation' provided he learned to 'play something' because he played no instruments at all other than tambourine and maracas!* *THE FIRST 'ROLLIN' STONES' WERE IAN AND BRIAN...NOT 'MICK' AND 'KEITH'*

A nice tribute. To a very nice man and great musician. And yet Charlie Watts was unlikely to believe the hype. It seems like he was good because he realized his limitations. John Lennon always felt he didn't belong when guitar gods like Clapton and Hendrix started talking guitar. Sometimes, maybe most of the time, it's not how much you have, it's what you do with what you've got. The Rolling Stones may well be the greatest Rock 'n Roll Band in the world. But I doubt Charlie would have considered them to be the most influential. Musicians are able to appreciate and learn from all kinds of music and people. The greatest ones usually don't need overblown praise. Neither did Charlie. RIP. And thanks for one of the soundtracks of my life.

RIP and God bless you? Really? Think again, this man gave no indication he was a child of God through faith alone in the risen Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, there is no peace or God's blessings for him now, he blew it! And so will his bandmates. Fame and fortune were what they traded to Satan for their lost souls, now eternity has come to collect -- what fools! Their little flowers of glory are fading fast. “There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.” Isaiah 48.22 KJV ONLY

I never cared for the rolling stones; their, music to me was nothing but noise; however, they are children of God. I pray he didn't die in his sins. The music of the rolling stones was no where close to Godly. We all need to repent and turn from sin, and sin no more. May God be merciful in his judgment on us all.
