Mistake at 36:10 - the ranger can never use a helm to add dice together. Basically all he can do with a helm is give it to a character than can actually make use of it. (The same goes for the wizard of course).

Another mistake at 36:25 - You take the highest dice result of EACH character, not the highest result among all the characters. Which means you add for example 5 strength + 4 strength + 4 (highest dice) + 6 (highest dice). Otherwise the game would be nearly impossible I assume...

As always, your enthusiasm is infectious. I've almost bought Legends of Andor a couple times. You've said before that your daughter plays most of your games, was she able to play the base game?

Thanks. Yes, she has played twice with me on the base game in the past. It is a cooperative game, so I would be helping her some on the turns as she may not have been thinking far enough ahead or possibly how her turn could effect mine. This game does take a high level of strategy and strategy between the players (as most co-ops). You really have to work together in this game if you want the win - its fairly challenging but very rewarding. This is why its an excellent solo experience as well. I really like the new mechanics in the journey to the north and will have this one out on the gaming table for at least the next week to try to play through legends 7-10.

I really enjoy your review approach, style and delivery, so far I've only watched a few of your reviews but I'll be sure to check out more. I'm on about my six attempt at base box legends 1 and 2 and not even got close to winning. But I'm looking forward to exploring where I'm going wrong and hopefully improving. And after this review I'll definitely be picking this expansion up at some point.

Gary Smith : yes the second / third legends of base set can be difficult. Its almost like a puzzle on some of them. Once you determine how to approach it, you will be fine. Thanks for watching and game on!

unless I'm misstaking you take every award after a battle, no? but according to the rules you have to choose. example: when you beat a gor you get 2 gold OR 2 Willpower OR 2 fame (combining is also possible, for example: 1 gold and 1 fame) and not 2 of each like you do.... correct?

Thank you for clarifying, as my explanation did seem as though you got it all. You are correct - you can take all of one or combine and spread that total across the three. Although you CANNOT exceed the total of any of the options. So your example is correct above in the comment. Thanks. In my explanation, I was simply trying to ensure people understood you could have the total of any of them but it seemed like I was double dipping.

How do the legends replay?

they replay pretty well. I mean you obviously know "how" to accomplish the task at hand but doing it again with different or the same friends later is still fun. The reason is the game is not that easy and even if you know how to beat the scenario, you may still fail on replay. Every time I have ever beaten a scenario, its been close.
