It seems like the video has some theorys included in it, one of them being that Santorini is the location for Atlantis. Unless there is a ainchient city found that is actually named Atlantis and matches Plato's description of Atlantis, then any statement on where Atlantis is would be just a theory. So the narrator states in the title that the video is about legends proven to be true but give theorys on some legend while other may have fact. So you should take the narrator's statements "with a grain of salt".

As regards the Pied Piper: there is a theory that the "kids" (more precisely young people) from Hameln were German colonists invited to Bohemian Kingdom by a local bishop (of German origin) in 13th century. There were remnants of a medieval village "Hemlynkow" and many local surnames as "Hamel, Hamal, Hamelius, Haemler" found in Moravia - today´s Czech Republic.

Any way in their telling of it The Piper used Wheat like that and made sweet rolls for all of the Children in town after the Town's People stiffed him on the bill. He played the music and they we're like Hypnotized by it. They followed him out of the town where he lead them to a cave,and sealed them all in. Revealing to the boy who was the protagonist,that he's a "locator and is paid 15 shillings per child. IKR a kids show that has a story about human trafficking. Ain't nothing like the 80's.

I'm getting more and more interested in research into Atlantis. I heard another theory that the city was located in what is now referred to as "they Eye of Africa", currently in the Sahara, as the geography fits perfectly, with the exception of the current elevation of the terrain (about 1300 ft above sea level). That theory posits that Plato didn't make up the story of Atlantis, but saw written records of it in a library in Egypt, and that even at that time, the city had already been gone for 10,000 years (suggesting that it ceased to exist 13,000 years ago, and making it VERY old, compared to what we even currently think of as "ancient" civilization).
@yasminni4852 жыл бұрын
There is a theory that Hawaii and the Polynesian Islands are remnants of Atlantis. Apparently Atlantis had really tall mountains that withstood the flooding/sinking and that is all we see today. Also, all the islands have the same fauna and flora that only exist there. How could that be unless they were once connected? If you haven't heard about this yet, you might also be interested in learning about the sunken continent of Mu and Lemuria.
@c182SkylaneRG2 жыл бұрын
@@yasminni485 Except that the Hawaiian Islands are very clearly volcanic mountains, and they've seen the flora and fauna hitching rides on coconut husks and driftwood across much wider stretches of water than the channels between the islands. There's similar flora, at least, on most of the Polynesian islands, stretching all the way back towards Indonesia.

@yasminni4852 жыл бұрын
@@daledrinnon7307 it all seems highly unlikely but what do we really know about past civilizations? I know that Mu and Atlantis are always being brought up together as they were two civilizations that existed at the same time. Some theories say that Mu and Atlantis sank because of war and that their descendants can still be found in some secret location on (or in) Earth. I don't know what's true or not, however, it's all very fascinating. I hope we get to find out one day.

Strange how you mention "recent discovery" and then you say 2011 and 2008. That's not perticularly recent ;P

It’s *relatively* recent. The word isn’t used in history like it’s used in day to day use because the history of mankind is a long one, not to mention that of the earth. If you’re talking about the span of the earth though then the earliest signs of humans is actually also recent. If a fly was sentient, a decade would be ancient history to them.

35,000 years ago a "journalist" depicts actual news for the masses. Today, expecting the truth from "journalists" just ain't gonna happen.
