But people blow it outta context an the casual fan (people that started watching post 2010) think it’s blasphemy if Jordan an Bron ain’t 1a 1b. Only dr.J an maybe 3 other hoopers have been in the exact spot they are. he kept the aba an nba alive by himself. Produced an won plus was that level of superstar, he’s earned the right to say what he wants an in this case it’s that starting with Bron is the first time a player has determined his destiny from an empowerment standpoint an it’s true. Every other move including the 08 Celtics was org lead. These orgs milk you for ya first 7 years, waste your prime then kill u in the media if u leave but if u stay they treat u like Isaiah Thomas in Boston. While I don't agree with Dr. J's assessment of LeBron (while LeBron did start the current trend of superstars collaborating and planning to join teams in Free Agency, he didn't start superteams), the disrespect Dr. J has received in the process has been RIDICULOUS. Especially when you consider the fact that a good deal of Dr. J's success came while he was in the ABA and keeping the ABA afloat by his lonesome. Sure, it doesn't give him the right to downplay and snub the younger generation, but he's entitled to his opinion and well...with how little respect the older generation of ball players get, is it no wonder they're bitter?

And of course running into the Bill Russell Celtics, those thoroughly stacked legendary Moses 76ers, those packed Bad Boys Pistons and their system, the Showtime Lakers, the Big 3 Celtics and the HOFers party Bulls steamroller dynasty. Not only because they were the teams running around in all those decades but especially because Lebron ran into those and then some (way more some, all time conglomerates of HOFers and dynastyes, legends and modern 3-pt automatic machines firing from all sides, starting already in the 2000s with the Big 4 all time role players and machine Celtics and, eventually, the Kobe-Gasol, Odom, Artest, Bynum, Fisher - and shooters actually shooting, unlike the 2000s Cavs - Lakers coached by Jackson).

I wanna say legends are hating LeBron because recency bias is making it seem like their era was trash basketball (I see it a lot on Twitter). Only defense i can give Dr.J is that it was easier to see talent stack on one team during his era because there were less teams in the league. While with LeBron and other players today, theyre openly just trying to team up via free agency/forcing trades instead of Superstars wanting to lead their own team. Plus theyre more teams in the league now so shouldn't be seeing superstars stacking on one team unless that franchise built that team through the draft

Because Cleveland was never a basketball town football and baseball at best Cleveland was an okay team back in the 80s once the Infamous shot made by Michael Jordan happen they were never the same until they got LeBron James and they only got LeBron James because they were the worst team in the league you see it the way LeBron puts teams together now she doesn't like playing with younger players players that have to develop most likely the veterans in the league when he came in had the same thought process no one was going to go to Cleveland to play second fiddle 2 a high schooler you got to remember LeBron took the Cavs to the finals in his fourth year so if that was the start of his prime he still had plenty of learning you should check out more of Dom's videos to get a good idea on how trash Cleveland front office truly was in my opinion these old heads Wasted Years of their career with bad franchises and when it was almost over try to win a championship these old heads and crazy fans give the impression that if you are a superstar all you have to do is wait for other superstars or really good players to come play with you and the organization will have no problem putting that together for you and that's just a laughable thought process

The criticism of Lebron in my opinion is both over done at times but also justified. I think it's hard in today's society to produce a story without extremes or controversial takes. We all get annoyed at it but we often get sucked into it as well. The reality is, Lebron's decisions as a player and as an influencer piss people off. He's pushing for what he believes in off the court and plays to his advantages on the court. He's certainly made mistakes in both. You combine that with people (especially legends) having to pick a side right now, it doesn't surprise me at all that this is what we have now. I do think at times Lebron really needed to not do/say what he did in a moment, but at the same time, I have an appreciation for him advocating and pushing for a players league and his overall basketball talent. I couldn't come close to doing everything he does and I would not want to be in his shoes.

Dr J's list is more of a "favorite player's list" than an actual ranking tbh. The dude meant it to be a ranking but it's obvious he doesn't care about accomplishments and just ranked it based on who he likes. There's really no debate about how shit his list, even if he added LeBron the rest of it is still shit.
@nanagyambibi74263 жыл бұрын
As much as I don't like defending LeBron its obvious the legends of the game hate Bron because throughout his career he has something that they didnt have and that is control. Bron controls where he wants to go, who comes in and out, what the coaching staff looks like, etc. Bron is in absolute control, some would say he is taking the easy route(I say that) but even I have to admit that alot of players eventually get to a point in there career where the execs control their destiny and are shipped around. I think Bron will walk away with his middle finger in the air before he allows an exec to determine his future.
