Music & vocals by Farya Faraji. Please note that this isn't reconstructed Ancient Roman music, it's modern music using ancient Roman instruments and part of their music theory framework.
The Legion XII Fulminata was a legion active from its levying in 58 B.C by Julius Caesar to the 5th century A.D, active in many conflicts such as the Gallic Wars and battles against the Parthian Empire.
The instrumentation consists of ancient an pandoura, lyres, aulos, a pan flute, drums and cymbals, all instruments used by the Romans of Antiquity. The pronunciation used here is Reconstructed Classical pronunciation, and the melody adheres to the long vs short vowel distinction of Latin, as well as (mostly) its stress accent.
Lyrics in Latin:
Inter hastas et hostēs!
Fulmināmus!
Pro ārīs et focīs!
Fulmināmus!
In Sabis et Gallia,
Fulmināmus!
In Armenia, Parthia
Fulmināmus!
Fulmina,
Paternā,
Antīqua,
Victrix,
Certa Constans!
English translation:
Between spears and ennemies,
We strike thunder!
For altar and hearth,
We strike thunder!
In Sabis and Gaul,
We strike thunder!
In Armenia, Parthia,
We strike thunder!
Thunderous,
Fatherly,
Victorious,
Ancient,
Surely Constant!

@@thesterrave As far as sin sacrifices are concerned, G-d makes sure to let us know that sacrifices only atone for accidental sins. All that the Lord commanded you through Moses, from the day on which the Lord commanded and from then on, for all generations. If because of the eyes of the congregation it was committed inadvertently, the entire congregation shall prepare a young bull as a burnt offering for a pleasing fragrance for the Lord, with its prescribed meal offering and libation, and one young he goat for a sin offering. The kohen shall atone on behalf of the entire congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them, for it was an error, and they have brought their offering as a fire offering to the Lord and their sin offering before the Lord because of their error. The entire congregation of the children of Israel and the proselyte who resides with them shall be forgiven, for all the people were in error. As for intentional sins, not so much. But if a person should act highhandedly, whether he is a native born or a proselyte, he is blaspheming the Lord, and that soul shall be cut off from among its people. For he has scorned the word of the Lord and violated His commandment; that soul shall be utterly cut off for its iniquity is upon it. Furthermore, G-d has His prophets write down that He does not accept the righteous dying for the wicked; rather, He wants the wicked to repent. The soul that sins, it shall die; a son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, and a father shall not bear the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself. And if the wicked man repent of all his sins that he has committed and keeps all My laws and executes justice and righteousness, he shall surely live, he shall not die. All his transgressions that he has committed shall not be remembered regarding him: through his righteousness that he has done he shall live. Do I desire the death of the wicked? says the Lord God. Is it not rather in his repenting of his ways that he may live? Indeed, He prefers repentance over sacrifices. With what shall I come before the Lord, bow before the Most High God? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, with yearling calves? Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with myriad streams of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? He has told you, O man, what is good, and what the Lord demands of you; but to do justice, to love loving-kindness, and to walk discreetly with your God. This is also emphasised by the Messiah's ancestors. You desired neither sacrifice nor meal offering; You dug ears for me; a burnt offering or a sin offering You did not request. Performing charity and justice is preferred by God to a sacrifice. To summarise, the notion that the Messiah is supposed to die for our sins so we may be "forgiven" is beyond stupid, not to mention unsupported by the Hebrew Bible. You do not find in the Jewish Scriptures stupidity like that written in the following verses: Hebrews 9:22 καὶ σχεδὸν ἐν αἵματι πάντα καθαρίζεται κατὰ τὸν νόμον καὶ χωρὶς αἱματεκχυσίας οὐ γίνεται ἄφεσις. And almost all things are by the Law purged with blood: and without shedding of blood is no remission. [...] For then must hee often haue suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world, hath he appeared to put away sinne by the sacrifice of himselfe. Such a view is limiting G-d in spite of the fact that He has Isaiah write down for the whole world to know that: Isaiah 55:6-9 דִּרְשׁ֥וּ ה׳ בְּהִמָּצְא֑וֹ קְרָאֻ֖הוּ בִּֽהְיוֹת֥וֹ קָרֽוֹב: יַֽעֲזֹ֚ב רָשָׁע֙ דַּרְכּ֔וֹ וְאִ֥ישׁ אָ֖וֶן מַחְשְׁבֹתָ֑יו וְיָשֹׁ֚ב אֶל־ה׳ וִירַֽחֲמֵ֔הוּ וְאֶל־אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ כִּֽי־יַרְבֶּ֥ה לִסְלֽוֹחַ: כִּ֣י לֹ֚א מַחְשְׁבוֹתַי֙ מַחְשְׁב֣וֹתֵיכֶ֔ם וְלֹ֥א דַרְכֵיכֶ֖ם דְּרָכָ֑י נְאֻ֖ם ה׳: כִּי־גָֽבְה֥וּ שָׁמַ֖יִם מֵאָ֑רֶץ כֵּ֣ן גָּֽבְה֚וּ דְרָכַי֙ מִדַּרְכֵיכֶ֔ם וּמַחְשְׁבֹתַ֖י מִמַּחְשְׁבֹֽתֵיכֶֽם: Seek the Lord when He is found, call Him when He is near. The wicked shall give up his way, and the man of iniquity his thoughts, and he shall return to the Lord, Who shall have mercy upon him, and to our God, for He will freely pardon. "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways," says the Lord. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts [higher] than your thoughts. In other words, the fact that actual forgiveness to the point of genuinely behaving as though the transgression committed against you was never committed may be beyond your capacities at the moment does not give you the right to consider G-d to be at the same lowly level as you.

@@thesterrave Love what you are doing my brother in Christ but this is not the way. Your ministry, although large in reach, will also cause many to fall away because you are kinda forcing it on them. I appreciate your zeal my dear brother but find another outlet for your ministry - I suggest going to videos/comments that are discussing faith rather than music videos like this one, and continue making your informative videos! That would be much better received and help turn many more people to the Lord. Love you brother may God bless you continually!!

It's a great song, and I absolutely love it, I don't know how to say it, but no words can just describe or show how good your songs are especially your Roman and Byzantine songs. They are my favorite and I listen to them almost every day, I am obviously listening to others but mainly Roman and Byzantine. It would be cool if you made a song about Legio II "Augusta" as they are also pretty famous or a song about Tsar Simeon of Bulgaria who was arguably the best leader and like a second version of Kaloyan the Roman Slayer but earlier

Question: would there ever be instrumental versions of these? I love the lyrics but the sounds of the instruments are just amazing! Would there be an Instrumental/Orchestral/Symphonic version of these songs? I think hearing Fvlminata's instrumental would sound bad ass along side with Legio XIV Gemina, I figured I'd ask since a couple times I zoned out and all I heard was the instruments. Great works! This had me wanting to buy a Lyre, and hopefully (if I can afford it, a Cithara).
