Of course we would appreciate a James Bond minifig in this but so far Creator Expert cars have always been just model cars. Going that route we should have had some Surfer Guy in the T1 Camper Van, Mr. Bean in the Mini Cooper and the Queen of England in the London Bus. :)

Seriously, this era of LEGO never ceases to amaze me with the level of engineering. From something big like this to the very small like the Slimer Brickhead. They're getting so complex in such tight spaces. It's kind of astounding!

no other big creator car sets come with figs. It's the way it's always been. Super easy to make a james bond fig on your own though so that's good

BrickVault Why call it a 007 set if your not gonna have minifigures might as well just make an aston martin without the james bond brand on it. I hope this set atleast has some nice prints.

Randomgames with Daniel It's a 007 set because it has many features specific to the 007 car as shown in the video. I don't think this car came with machine guns, tire scythes and an ejector seat stock LOL. Not to mention the scale of this car does not match minifigs at all.

Q has always been played by a male actor: Desmond Llewelyn, John Cleese and Ben Wishaw. Peter Burton played Major Boothroyd, a sort of 'version' of Q. You're probably confusing Q with M, Bond's boss, who was played by a woman, Judi Dench from 1995 to 2012; or M's secretary, Miss Moneypenny, who (obviously) has always been female.

Was hoping this would be a speed champion size JB release. Maybe that will happen in the future. As for these creator cars I like the Caterham best. It lends itself well to a Lego build.

Damn those licensing fees! This costs £45 more than the Creator VW van despite having roughly 100 less parts!! I will get it though as the working features look very cool!

Good effort especially given how rounded the panels on the actual DB5 are. If this is the first of a planned series of 007 vehicles, then the Lotus Esprit from TSWLM would be a great choice for a future 007 Lego set.

I absolutely love the knock off wheels, how they turn into a great mechanism to slash your arch nemsis's tires. Also knock offs work really well to really complete the look. Can't wait till August 1st to get my hands on this beautiful replica of such an elegant car.

True that. Lego won't use real looking guns. That's why they don't do tanks. And that's a huge disappointment. Imagine Creators Ideas Challenger or M1 Abrams tank. That would be amazing.

@@kevinpeterson1398 honestly though, you can make 007 sets and still keep it pg. Some perfect examples for sets would be the Goldeneye radio dish fight, the Spectre helicopter chase, Goldfinger car chase, Zorin's blimp, etc.

Love the set waiting for mine to arrive. Only slight disappointment for me is that the Aston Martin badge could have been a printed piece instead of a sticker. Would have made a big difference. Also having the lego group and part number written on the tyres sort of spoils it a small amount.

There's no hidden messages in the number plates. All as seen in the James Bond movies - apart from JB-007, of course. Different plates for different areas in Europe - United Kingdom = BMT 216A, France = 4711-EA-62, and Switzerland = LU 6789.

After building both this set as well as the '67 Mustang, the build for the Mustang is much easier and more thought out. For the 007 car, the hood would not close even half way for me, the back shield barely raises, and the trunk comes undone constantly. I have pieces falling off the 007 car due to these issues. Thank goodness the ejector seat and roof work. I love the Bond car but because I found so many issues after building it, I have taken it apart and am now having to rebuild it to determine if it was human error or if pieces indeed came out of place.

I’m having a hard time with the gun function. The two yellow parts on the inside don’t want to stay in place and messes up the engine or it’s too tight and it doesn’t want to move and gets stuck. Any suggestions?

Is it strange to get this if you only saw to Bond Movies? I actually really want to get the Creator Expert Rollercoaster but it's very expansive and this is cheaper so I have more money left for other LEGOs. I’m buying this set! 2 complaints: no minifigure and display sign (like you see in LEGO’s Tumbler set from Batman) secondly, no oil slick. I would have expected the oil to be all 1 stud black pieces and for it to come out of the tail lights. Whatever’s, still a great set
